Don’t Let Him Leave…

...at least not while the jury of his peers (ya, RIGHT!) begins to deliberate. Michael Jackson goes to the hospital again, and complains of flu-like symptoms.
I don’t know if he prays to God...but if he does, he better start praying for an acquittal. Otherwise he knows what’s waiting for him.

Next Time I’m Flying

OK folks, you wondered where I was at, well wonder no more!

I started out at 0600 Sunday from Phoenix, and got to my destination, the San Francisco Bay Area, around 2000. I have two dear friends there, Marian and George, whom I hadn’t seen in three years, last time was at Indy...and it was time.

I got back last night just after 2300 hours! I started out at 1000, survived an LA rush hour, and both ways I had to pay $2.739 a gallon for gas near Bakersfield! OWIE on the pocketbook!
But it was worth seeing Marian and George (and their beautiful Harley-Davidson Sportsters they’ve told me all about!)...as well as a landmark I had visited six years earlier with them. More on that this weekend...after I’ve had a couple more days to recuperate at work!

On The Road Again

Yep, I’m off to see some friends! It’s a 12-hour drive from here, so I gotta get going. And here’s the kicker…

THEY DON’T KNOW I AM COMING! Man will they be surprised!

Name That Font

OK folks, see if you can name the typeface which now adorns part of the main graphic...here are some hints:

1) It’s FREE!
2) It’s IMPERIAL!
3) Its name is based in the same manner as the word ”alphabet."

Have at it!

UPDATE - 01 June 2005, 0730 MST: OK, here’s the answer: Aurabesh, based on the Imperial display script found in the Star Wars movies!

The Class of 9/11

Filed under: | War on Terror

These good men and women of the United States Military Academy throw their hats into the air as they graduate and take their places as officers in the United States Army.
An uncanny coincidence. The number of graduating cadets was: 911. They came to West Point in time of peace, and transitioned to war.
I salute them, and also the men and women of the Class of 2005 for the United States Naval Academy and the United States Air Force Academy, for in my heart, they will ALWAYS be remembered as the “Class of 9/11.” In addition, I salute the enlisted men and women who serve under these officers.

To the Terrorist and Islamofascist Bastards: THEY WILL COME FOR YOU.

Night of Long Knives?

King Fahd of Saudi Arabia has also been taken to a hospital with pneumonia...and may also be on his deathbed. Fahd has nominally ruled the kingdom since 1982, but since his stroke in 1995 resulted in short term memory loss (among other effects), his half-brother Prince Abdullah has been the de facto ruler.
Now here I’m definitely NOT saying “Keepa U Fingers Crossed,” because if Fahd dies, there will be a power struggle in Saudi Arabia and it may involve the disruption of oil exports.
Hold on real tight people!

UPDATE: 1821 MST - UPI is reporting King Fahd is DEAD. Here we go....

Charles Johnson over at LGF is reporting rumors that the animal known as Abu Musab al-Zarqawi may be the best kind of terrorist to be...a DEAD ONE!

The Art of Compromise

How most Americans see compromise in the United States Senate these days....as explained by Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV):

Sorry Red Sox Fans

As much as you all hate the Yankees, this particular Yankee you love to hate isn’t going to jail after all....
What’s that chant I hear?

F**k The Yankees! F**k ‘em all!
F**k The Yankees! F**k ‘em all!
F**k The Yankees! F**k ‘em all!
F**k The Yankees! F**k ‘em all!

Rinse and Repeat....

Non Means…NON!

Filed under: | Axis of Weasels

It seems as though Monsieur (or should I Mon-sewer!) Chirac is hell-bent on ramming the European Constitution down everyone’s throat, even if France votes NON this Sunday.
Seems to me that the jerk...er, soda jerk...has delusions of grandeur just like Napoleon!
By the way, go and check out how HUGE this document is!

4-Year BS Over

The Senate finally gets up off its collective ass AFTER FOUR YEARS OF BS FILIBUSTERING by the Democrats, and confirms Judge Priscilla Owen to the Federal bench. The vote was 56-43, with Sen. Lincoln Chafee (RINO-RI) voting against her.
On the side of the Democrats voting FOR Judge Owen was (shock of shocks!) Sen. Robert “Sheets” Byrd (D-WV...and I say “Sheets” not because he was a former Kleagle for the KKK, but because the way he debates on the Senate floor he’s four sheets to the wind!) and Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA).
Next up: John Bolton for UN Ambassador. That should be a doozy!

Clean Sports Act Introduced

Guess who’s in the news again...yep! Sen. John McCain (RINO-AZ) introduces legislation to bring all drug testing for professional athletes under the banner of a single agency:

“It’s obvious that a vital component of this whole business is who does the testing,” McCain said after the morning hearing. “U.S.A.D.A. seems to me to be a likely candidate for that, but I’m not dictating that nor do I think Congress should.”

This’ll piss the Unions off for sure...especially the MLBPA!

He’s Not John Shaft

Get this! Burt Reynolds bitchslaps a producer at the premiere of the remake of ”The Longest Yard.” He apparently forgot to ask for pointers from Samuel L. Jackson.
I still haven’t decided whether or not I’ll see this movie. The original is such a classic!
