Holy Scrambled Eggs Batman!

That’s right chum...Kelsey Grammer has been cast as The Beast in the upcoming movie, X3. Now THIS I want to see!
But it is too bad Paramount didn’t reprise his Star Trek role.

Zarqawi: Iraqis = Cannon Fodder

Filed under: | War on Terror

OK folks! Here’s the guy who thinks so highly of his Islamic goal of killing the Infidels, that NOTHING should get in the way:

“God ordered us to attack the infidels by all means...even if armed infidels and unintended victims — women and children — are killed together. The priority is for jihad so anything that slows down jihad should be overcome.
“This right (the jihad) is justified by Islam even if it resulted in the death of a number of Muslims who happen to be in the place during the fighting for one reason or another, provided that it is not possible to avoid them and the difficulty in distinguishing between them and the infidel military fighters.

Need I say more? That’s right...human life, even if it’s Islamic...doesn’t mean a damn thing to this animal named Abu Musab al-Zarqawi! Yes indeed, Hitler is indeed rubbing his hands with glee in Hell!

As Well It Should

Filed under: | Axis of Donks

There was a bill pending in the Texas Legislature which would have banned suggestive high school cheerleading, but it’s being reported that the bill will die in the State Senate. GOOD!
Who introduced the bill? A DEMOCRAT. Oh he’s using the following excuse:

“If there’s anybody who thinks there’s not a problem with the way our young folks are performing ... then they’ve been somewhere with their head in the sand,” he said.

No, the problem isn’t that...the problem is government telling US what we CAN and CANNOT do with our lives! Yes, teenage pregnancies, AIDS, and dropouts at the high school level ARE problems, but you don’t solve it with legislation. You solve it with PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT, telling the local school board: “If you don’t crack down on this suggestive cheerleading, we’ll RECALL your asses and put someone in who WILL!” Because after all, education begins AT HOME WITH THE PARENTS.

Ethiopian Elections

You’re probably wondering “What in the world is Macker commenting on elections in Ethiopia?” Well, there are two reasons. The primary reason is, I used to live there when I was a kid, in a place called Asmara, which is now the capital of Eritrea.
Asmara was my dad’s last posting before he retired from the Navy in 1972. The United States had a base there until 1974, just before Haile Selassie (whose hand I actually SHOOK in fifth grade!) was deposed by Col. Mengistu and the Communists.
And the second reason? Well, all these years later, Ethiopia is considered an ALLY to the United States, just as they were when Haile was Emperor. This is their third election since toppling the Commies in 1991, so they are learning. And yes, Jimmy Carter observed the elections according to the Beeb article. Hey, nothing’s perfect.

Looking Back At Disco

Compared to the corporate s**t that’s out there today, this form of hedonism prevalent in the 1970s (who all remembers the line from Saturday Night Fever: “What did you say your name was?”) is mild! A couple of months ago, I was just surfing and I came across a video clip of a German group who was lambasted as being somewhat gay on another blog (Sorry, don’t remember which blog). After watching the clip I figured “no, these guys aren’t gay...it was just the 1970s in full swing!” In fact, their dress reminded me more of Buck Rogers!
But I digress. The song Dschinghis Khan was performing, “Moskau,” was a catchy tune in its own right, and sure enough it’s available on iTunes

Is This What They Want?

Thanks to orders from higher up, Federal Border Patrol agents are now being told NOT TO ARREST any illegals crossing the border in Arizona, where the Minutemen patrolled, so as to highlight just how effective they really were! WTF!

“It was clear to everyone here what was being said and why. The apprehensions were not to increase after the Minuteman volunteers left. It was as simple as that.”

Sounds to me like someone who heads the Border Patrol in AZ is pissed off that they were upstaged by REGULAR CITIZENS who took their obligation more seriously then the Border Patrol official.
And then, some Mexican politician tells a news conference that no wall will be high enough to keep their citizens from crossing into the United States. BS!
What we’re seeing here, people, is the rebirth of the Civil Defense movement in the United States. If the damn Mexicans don’t like it, and especially if certain Federal officials don’t like it either...too damn bad!

...is the name of the 2000th SONG I’ve added to my iTunes music collection! It’s by Jethro Tull, from his 1972 album ”Living In The Past.”
Yeah, I know there are people out there who have TONS MORE. I’m just happy I have what I have. Thanks Ken!

And speaking of iTunes...time to update to version 4.8!

Don’t Hold Your Breath

Get this: Islamic nations have contributed only $3 million in the World Health Organization‘s current campaign to combat polio in their respective countries where most of the world’s cases have occurred.
Well I got news for ya...it ain’t gonna happen any time soon. You see, while it doesn’t say exactly why, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Muslims refuse to do anything about it because, it seems, the vaccines are a ”product of Jewish science” and that’s a big no-no to Islam!
Just like the atomic bomb...Hitler wouldn’t allow his scientists to develop it for that very same reason. And there you have it.

A Simple Solution Indeed

Looks like a large group of Canadian scientists have concluded that the Kyoto Protocol is a bunch of BS emanating from the mouths AND rectums of the United Nations. They wanted to put a privately-funded, completed 27-minute documentary onto Canadian television, but were told no.
I see a simple solution already: PUT IT ON THE INTERNET! There are lots of Bloggers out there outside of Canada’s borders who are more than willing to accomodate you and to direct everyone who wants to watch it to the sites which host the documentary.
Hey, it worked with the Gomery/Liberal Party scandal over at Captain’s Quarters! Why not this too?

In A Crappy State

Filed under: | Axis of Donks

I got friends in Illinois...and they all know why I don’t like that state. But that’s not the reason why I’m writing about the Land of Lincoln (who would be spinning in his grave). 28 states have laws or pending legislation allowing pharmacists to decline filling prescriptions for oral contraceptives (including, I imagine, RU-486) for personal and/or religious reasons. But Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (a Democrat) issued an executive order mandating the filling of all such prescriptions: “No delays, no hassles, no lectures. Just fill the prescription.”
Now there’s a fight brewing in Springfield, led by State Representative Ron Stephens:

“We’re not about lecturing anybody. We’re not about trying to impose my values on anyone. I’m just saying to the governor, don’t impose your values or lack of them on me,” Stephens said.

Ah, there’s the rub. It’s the Democrats who want you, the American Taxpayer, to continue funding the ongoing copulations of those who refuse to take responsibility for said behavior. Get pregnant? Here, have this French Pill! Got an STD? Here, take this penicillin! It’s yet another part of the Giant Government Nipple Solution I keep ranting about here.

Bush On Yalta: Our Bad

Filed under: | History | РУССКИЕ ДЕЛА

Tomorrow is the 60th Anniverary of V-E Day. WE WON!
During his visit to the Baltic States (of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia), President Bush acknowledged that we messed up in allowing the Soviets to impose its will on Eastern Europe following World War II:

“We will not repeat the mistakes of other generations, appeasing or excusing tyranny, and sacrificing freedom in the vain pursuit of stability. We have learned our lesson; no one’s liberty is expendable. In the long run, our security and true stability depend on the freedom of others.”

In so doing, the President made himself an example to another certain world leader who chose to criticize the United States in the last few days:

“No good purpose is served by stirring up fears and exploiting old rivalries in this region. The interests of Russia and all nations are served by the growth of freedom that leads to prosperity and peace.”

Hey Pooty...are you listening?

Why I Can’t Stand American Idol

Filed under: | Bread and Circuses

So now word comes out that Paula Abdul had a little fling with one of the contestants and helped him get ahead:

Clark alleges his first private phone call with Abdul came after an associate of hers slipped Clark a piece of paper with her number.

“So she was like, ‘You got to have better song choices, and I want to help you do that. I want to look out after you like, like, I’m your mom,’” Clark told “Primetime Live,” according to an excerpt released by ABC News.

“And then she was like, “Well, more like your sister.” And I was like, ‘OK, cool, cool’ ... And then she was like, “Well, maybe more like your special friend,’” Clark told the news show.

Seems like Corey Clark’s story changed as Paula was taking something of his into her mouth!
Talk about hypocrisy! It seems like the producers of American Idol don’t do a very thorough job of checking out the applicants’ backgrounds. ABC’s report on the show is supposed to air tonight at 2200 EDT. That is, if a court doesn’t stop it first.
