And While We’re At It…

Let’s cut these people some slack too!

OK, so they finally got married. Isn’t it time to let them live the rest of their lives IN PEACE and stop calling Camilla the homewrecker?
Yes, adultery and divorce are sins in the eyes of God. Yes, they confessed those sins in their wedding ceremony. So isn’t it time for them to be happy and faithful to each other?
Yes? Good, now STFU!

Ken Mehlman Interview

GOP Bloggers recently interviewed RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman. This one passage caught my eye:

It is simply unprecedented that one party is using the filibuster to block an up or down vote on highly qualified judicial nominees that have the support of a majority of senators. The Democrats’ refusal to allow votes on judicial nominees are unfair and unfaithful to their Constitutional duty when it comes to judicial nominations. Republicans are actively evaluating what can be done to avoid the stalemate over judicial nominations that developed during the President’s first term.

In light of Tom Daschle’s actions, continued by Harry Reid, and the sad story of Terri Schiavo’s demise, the country is getting fed up with the actions of judicial activists who insist on creating new laws from the bench instead of interpreting the laws which are supposed to be passed by the legislature. If the Democrats refuse to PLAY BALL as a Minority Party, as the GOP did for decades, then the Constitutional Option will have to be invoked and so be it!

Cut This Guy Some Slack Too

OK who all remembers Russell Yates? No? OK, he was the husband of Andrea Yates, who was convicted in 2002 of drowning their five children in Texas back in July 2001. His job as a NASA engineer supposedly had something to do with the entire murder thing, or so his (ex-)wife’s defense team wanted you to think.
Anyway, he finally divorced her and wants to move on with his life, including dating again and the possibility of remarriage:

“I’m kind of in a phase where ... I’m through, I think, a lot of the healing and at a point where I’m starting to look more to the future...I have the freedom now. I’d like to do that someday and possibly have a family again. ... But I’m not 20. I’m 40. So I have to reassess where I’m at, what I have to offer.”

I can understand where he’s coming from. I’m in my mid-40s and considering the past few relationships I’ve had, I have to take a long, difficult look at what I have to offer a woman...if she could ever find the heart to put up with me and love me back.

Sigh....

Cut The Guy Some Slack

Peter Jennings may be a jerk when it comes to his arrogant persona (which he brought with him from Canada) on ABC Television’s ”World News Tonight”...but he is in a real fight now. Jennings announced he has lung cancer.

So while we should still hold him to account for his news reporting attributes...please say a prayer for him so that he can win this even bigger fight he’s got now.

Please Take Him Away!

Get this! Before his death, Marlon Brando gave sanctuary to Michael Jackson, should he flee the country! That’s what the New York Daily News is reporting, by way of Matt Drudge.
I postulated in a previous post that Roman Polanski would offer Jackson sanctuary in France. If either of these guys would take him off our shores, that’s one less sick SOB to inhabit the United States of America. So what if one of them is already DEAD.

In case you aren’t aware...”Troops” was a Fan Film made in 1997, where Star Wars met COPS. Now the sequel is about to be released! The teaser trailer is now available!

I tell ya, between this and Revelations, oh yeah, not to mention Episode III...it’s a great time to be a Star Wars Fan!

UPDATE: Now because of the DSL access I’ve had for a full three months I’m taking full advantage of downloading even more great Fan Films based on Star Wars, such as this one, ”Broken Allegiance” from Australia...Holy Smokes, I better stock up on some DVD’s so I can burn all this stuff to them!

Site Cleanup

Excuse the slight mess...well actually it’s fixed! I decided to move a few components of the template code around for cosmetic purposes and also took out some dead blogs and removed the blank target code from the blog links over in the left column.
All in all I would say the results turned out pretty nice, don’t you agree?

He Is Almost Gone…

Over the last few days, the health of Pope John Paul II has taken a much greater turn for the worse. He is near death. Millions of Roman Catholic followers from around the world knew this was coming and so did I.
So now, what does the world do? I can pretty much guarantee that there won’t be much happening for quite a bit. But I will share this with you....

I was in Navy Basic Training at Great Lakes, IL when John Paul II was elected. I was in the midst of a training exercise when the base commander appeared: “ATTENTION ON DECK!”

“At ease,” said the CO. “Alright, how many of you guys are Catholics?” A good number of them raised their hands. The base commander then continued. “Well I got good news for you...you now have a POLACK for a Pope!” EVERYONE LAUGHED to break the tension, And then he told us his name and everyone cheered, even the non-Catholics.

There is of course no way this kind of story can be told today without ramifications. But back in October 1978, no one knew how Karol Josef Wojtyla would turn out leading the Roman Catholic Church. Now we know, and the world will feel the loss when he is called home.

And so will I.

UPDATE: He’s Been Called Home.

Like I’m REALLY Scared…

Filed under: | War on Terror

Now we’ve got this lovely Koran scholar (I’ve STOPPED calling it the Qur’an) coming out of the woodwork, who says the USA will cease to exist in 2007, using verses from its UNHOLY PAGES. They have as much credibility as Islam’s claim to Jerusalem, which, for me, doesn’t count to a hill of beans!

Since we’re kicking the terrorists’ (as well as the Islamofascists’) asses Big Time, this was bound to happen.

Ha Ha Ha

Pat Buchanan Attacked!

Man I can’t stand Pat Buchanan because he gives Republicans a bad name! But he doesn’t deserve this splattering of salad dressing at Wasted Money Western Michigan University!

What A Bad Month!

Yeah, I haven’t been in the mood lately for a couple of reasons:
1) Production at work sucks across the board, and
2) The girl I’m interested in has concerns about the long-distance aspect of our relationship. We are both impatient people by nature and it is tough to deal with having to wait till Memorial Day weekend!

Has there been any good news? Well as a matter of fact, yes!
1) I’m now up to 13 free downloads in this year’s Pepsi iTunes Promo, compared with last year’s total of 8.
2) ATTENTION STAR WARS FANS! Mark April 16 on your calendar, and bring your high-speed Internet access with you...a very special independent film production titled Star Wars: Revelations will be shown at the Senator Theater in Baltimore, MD, then two days later released to the public AS A FREE DOWNLOAD! I’ve already seen the trailer and it is the most significant fan-based production for Star Wars I’ve ever seen! I can’t wait. No need for Wookiee Hooky!

I promise!

Please God, Help Terri

I just listened to the audio file of Terri Schiavo and how her parents are trying to communicate with her. It seems to me that Terri is trying to communicate with her parents...but can’t spit the words right out. Drudge was getting swamped, so Wizbang was mirroring the file as well.
She’s been this way for 15 years, and for her so-called “husband” to do this to her, to turn off her feeding tube and in my opinion, DOING NOTHING to rehabilitate her, is absolutely despicable! Not to mention his public adulterous behavior.
The Florida state judge isn’t doing his job either...I wonder if he has a cut of the insurance take that Michael got? Something is truly rotten here...and it is a good thing that Congress and the President has stepped in and taken this issue away from the state courts.
Now, there may be a Constitutional issue here, and that will be sorted out, but it is better to err on the side of LIFE here. Terri Schiavo deserves a fighting chance, and if her so-called “husband” won’t give it to her, her parents will!

A seaQuest Fan Dream Come True?

Not MINE, you understand. Who all remembers that bullshit supranational organization called the United Earth Oceans from seaQuest DSV ten years ago? Well, the LLL’s keep calling for a Global TAX to set something up just like it.
These idiots do not understand that socialism will hinder development of the market to our oceans, not encourage it! Not only that, since the UN itself is so FUBAR, they want to go create ANOTHER organization to rape the developed world? They really do piss me off sometimes.

NOTE: I used to open links to a new window with my previous posts. I think I’ll drop that practice and save on the maintenance.
