You Knew This Was Coming

First, Gillette came out with Mach 3. Then Schick countered with Quattro. Now Gillette has unveiled both a standard and a battery-powered five-bladed razor called Fusion.
Men must be pretty desperate to want to get their face as smooth as a newborn baby’s bottom.
OK Guys…what do you use to shave? I use the Mach 3 on interview days (and sometimes on other occasions), the rest of the time I use an electric razor. Let’s discuss!

National Day of Rage?

Filed under: | War on Terror

I’ve recently found a couple of links (here and here) to an interesting question: “Should September 11 be a National Day of Rage?” Here is my reply to both:

No.
Not rage.
But rather, STONE COLD RESOLVE to wipe these bastards out. Rage is for the terrorists. Rage is for the liberals. Rage is for the Arabs who continue to wage war on the Jews and Christians.
The LAST THING these motherf**kers should ever see when they depart this Earth is for them to gaze into the eyes of an American Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine and see the following:

WE HAVE COME FOR YOU.

Algore Speaks Again

Filed under: | Axis of Donks

While at the Sierra Club’s national convention, the former Vice President spews forth the MoveOn.org talking points once again on President Bush, this time regarding Hurricane Katrina:

“When the corpses of American citizens are floating in toxic flood waters five days after a hurricane struck, it is time not only to respond directly to the victims of the catastrophe, but to hold ... the leaders of our nation accountable.
“The warnings about global warming have been extremely clear for a long time. We are facing a global climate crisis, it is deepening. We are entering a period of consequences.
“What happened was not only knowable, it was known in advance, in great and painstaking detail. They did tabletop planning exercises. They identified exactly what the scientific evidence showed would take place.”

Blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda…What’s this? He also personally sponsored 2 charter flights with 270 refugees? Gee that’s nice of him! And I hope his money’s good…unlike Air America’s!

Who’s Gonna Blink First?

Filed under: | War on Terror

Read this document carefully, people. It tells the terrorists (and by extension, Iran and North Korea) that if they use WMD’s of ANY kind whatsoever against us or our allies, we reserve the right to respond in nuking not only the terrorist group(s) involved but also the state which supplied said WMD’s to the terrorists!
Also, note very carefully the timing of this document’s release: Iran warns of “serious consequences” if it is taken to the UN Security Council for its continued intransigence on its nuclear weapons program.

Britney Spears

OK guys, don’t go ga-ga over this story. I don’t. Here’s why I chose this title…
Today was my first day at my new position at the Bank. The trainer had us play a game where she taped the name of a famous celebrity on our backs, we couldn’t see the name. Then, we had to get up, find a partner associate, show that partner our backs, and then ask that partner two “Yes or No” questions about the person. I got mine in 3 persons…the clincher question being “Is she in The Family Way?” When the other associate said yes, I knew and I blurted out my guess and I was correct.
So I guess I was Britney Spears for about 5 minutes. UGH.

Unfortunately, Scott isn’t.
Microsoft is marketing SEVEN...count ‘em, SEVEN versions of Windows Vista, the “successor” to Windows XP:

Starter Edition
Home Basic Edition
Home Premium Edition
Professional Edition
Small Business Edition
Enterprise Edition
Ultimate Edition

What the hell has happened to Microsoft? Have they gone NUTS?
Apparently they have. This is yet another reason why I’m glad I have a Mac!

VP Still Gets F-Bomb

Even while touring the devastated areas hit by Hurricane Katrina, the Vice President gets heckled again (Windows Media Player Required) by someone who wasn’t happy with what he told Senator Depends last year...and it rolls right off him and he doesn’t even miss a beat! That’s why I’m glad we got a guy like Dick Cheney as our Vice President.

9/11: Four Years Later

Filed under: | War on Terror

I don’t know how true this is, but supposedly, Robin Williams told this post-9/11 joke:

In the middle of the night…
*RING*
BUSH: “Hello?”
ARAFAT: “I wanted to call and offer my condolences for the World Trade Center.”
BUSH: “What? Nothing’s happened to the World Trade Center.”
ARAFAT: “What? Wait… what time is it there?”
BUSH: “It’s one in the morning.”
ARAFAT: “F**K! I forgot about the time difference!”

OK, the morbid humor is now out of the way. But I did that to show that those who supported the Terrorist Barbarian Islamofascists who attacked us knew in advance of what they were going to do.
Cox and Forkum update their annual panel.
Since I’ve been here in Arizona, I’ve just seen only the tourist points of interest, and haven’t even begun to truly explore this 48th State or even the Southwest. Kinda hard when gas is over $3 a gallon.
Even so, I’ve seen enough to know that all this country IS worth fighting for. Even New Orleans.
For a sobering reminder…visit Exhibit 13 for a moving video. BMEWS has another.

REMEMBER. Remember who did this to us…and why they did it. Remember so that we may pass it to our children…and our children’s children…that we must always confront Evil and call it out as such to defend our freedom and our way of life here.

Mac, Linux Users Stiffed by FEMA

Oh, so you’re a survivor of Hurricane Katrina and you want to register for relief online with FEMA? Sure you can…but only if you use Windows!
Now just wait…sooner rather than later, some unscrupulous bastard will hack FEMA’s web site and grab the info about the survivors from there to use as they please (sell to highest bidder of course), all because FEMA and God knows how many other government agencies use a Windows-based system. Won’t be long now either.

Saturday Morning Cartoons

For the first time in quite a while, I don’t have to go in to work on a Saturday morning. I could turn on the TV but I would not like what passes for cartoons these days.
Instead, I checked my e-mail and I got something special from Darker Projects: two lines of script (for two different characters, one for Crusade, the other for Star Trek: The Section 31 Files) for some upcoming audio drama projects…so I recorded them and sent them back to the producer.
Keep your ears peeled, my friends, I just may get that shot yet!

How Dare They!

Now comes word of a deliberately stupid design for the Flight 93 National Memorial...the “Crescent of Embrace.” Lizardoid zombie did some quick Photoshopping and sure enough, it’s almost a carbon copy of the Muslim symbol!
This s**t isn’t supposed to be a holy ground for the damn Muslims who hijacked the plane…it’s supposed to be OUR memorial to those who lost their lives fighting back against those bastards!
If you’re as pissed off as I am, you know what to do.

HAT TIP: Little Green Footballs

Here’s what I wrote:

To Whom It May Concern:
I cannot believe that you would allow such a disgraceful symbol which represents the 9/11 hijackers to memorialize those who gave their lives fighting back against those very same people!
I am hoping that your site will be flooded with complaints similar to mine. I also hope that you will consider rethinking that design in light of this. Thank you.

Feds Nail Richard Hatch for Tax Evasion

No, not

Commander Apollo…the “fat naked guy” from Survivor didn’t want to pay taxes on the million bucks he won:

The indictment said Hatch had two accountants prepare tax returns that included his “Survivor” winnings but did not file them when he learned he would owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. In 2002, he had one of the accountants prepare a second return that did not include his TV show winnings. He filed that one, which called for a $4,500 refund, the indictment said.
Hatch was also accused of misusing $36,500 from a nonprofit camp he set up, Horizon Bound. For example, he allegedly kept for himself a $10,000 donation made in return for his appearance on the NBC game show “Weakest Link.” He spent the money from the game show on a construction project at his house, the indictment said.
Hatch faces a maximum of 75 years in prison if found guilty on all charges. He also could face millions of dollars in fines.

All that, just so he could keep the cool million? WHAT AN IDIOT! Commander Apollo, put this man on the Prison Barge!

Workin’ 9 to 5

Filed under: | War on Terror

What a way to make a livin.’ More and more veterans, such as US Army Reservist Sgt. John Thompson, are speaking out:

“No one seems to know exactly what we are doing over there – except getting shot at and blown up. They don’t go out and talk to the people. The average Iraqi wants a nine-to-five job and for his kids to go to school. And that’s what they are not reporting on the news.”

Sixty years ago we fought a two-front war in Europe and the Pacific. We are also fighting a two-front war: overseas against the terrorists, and here at home with the liberal/MSM unholy alliance, who refuse to accept the fact that Freedom Isn’t Free. No, there’s a hefty [freakin’] fee.

When I read that Apple was buying up a bunch of flash memory, I had a feeling something was up. And I was right.
Now, here’s my prediction. Within 2 years, every single model all the way up the chain will also be converted from hard drive to flash!
Oh that also reminds me, iTunes 5 is now available for download. Streamlined interface mostly.
