Let’s see…200 NOPD officers quit or desert their posts (man if they were military, they’d have been SHOT!), and then Mayor Nagin wanted FEMA to pick up the tab for sending those who did stay on the job to Las Vegas for R&R? Fortunately FEMA said no, but the city is paying for it all anyway.
It won’t be too long until Nagin gives all city workers 6 weeks’ paid vacations, just like in Europe! And while they’re at it, he might as well give them $500 in cash to blow on the slots while they’re there!
