OK folks, I finally got around to posting the best of the lot, so here they are!
At first I had to figure out whether I wanted to go for the “old style” B&W look, or just shoot in color. With one exception, they’re all the latter. Also, I’m saving my bandwidth for videos, as I figured capturing the moments were more pleasing than a running record. I think you will agree.
Once again, having 5.1 megapixels to work with sure come in handy when cropping images, especially with the jousting photos. Later, a friend told me that the “Fight to the Death” resulted in a victory for the Frenchman! Go figure.

I just got back from the eye doctor about a half hour ago; it was time for my annual checkup. Everything looks OK, but I do have to get another set of contacts, which I should receive in about a week or so.
There was a corneal topography procedure done last year, and again today. This time, I got a copy of the scan. Here’s what my eyes look like. Keep in mind, you’re looking at “me”, so my right eye is on the left, and vice versa:

No drugs necessary. These are essentially 20 years post-op, the procedure for which was described here. The cooler the color, the flatter the surface area; now I can see why I have such terrible astigmatism in my left eye.
When the topography scan was done last year, I was totally amazed! The equipment which made this possible didn’t exist 10 years ago. It’s stuff like this which shows that American health care, for all its flaws (and believe me, it’s got those!), is the best in the world. Bar none.
