I first found this video over at another board where I hang out on. Yeah, the one run by liberals. NO, it’s not the Kos Kidz. Anyhow, I laughed my a** off when Karl Rove, of all people, pokes fun at himself by bustin’ some Rap moves!
I swear, those libs over at the other board have no frakkin’ sense of humor when it comes to us Republicans; they don’t think we are supposed to have fun. I think they’re pissed off because he still hasn’t been indicted, and the shoe is on the other foot.

...grow up to be: Sith Lords...
I don’t know how far Microsoft penetrates the aviation world as it does the rest of the business world. That said, can you just imagine a jet designed by Apple engineers and equipped with OS X and touch screens for avionics, iPhones for the passengers, and unmatched overall convenience and comfort?
Someone at Helium Report (an avowed Mac Shop) did…and they have waaaaaay too much time on their hands when they can come up with something like this. Nevertheless, my jaw would drop if Apple actually converted a business jet for this purpose.

I had to chuckle when Popular Mechanics posted this reply to Rosie’s (you know, the one who’s a charter member of the Film Actors’ Guild) raging and seething on The View.
Why chuckle? Because this latest episode took place only yesterday!
Let Rosie keep ranting like she has been. One day, someone in the audience, other than Elisabeth Hasselbeck, will have the intestinal fortitude to stand up and simply yell something like BULL-S**T YOU CRAZY-A** LIAR! With a few other invectives thrown in, of course. Let that person be a conservative woman who will go and bitch-slap Rosie seven ways to Sunday! May it happen soon, on national TV, so that ABC will consequently fire her.
It took me long enough to ger around to seeing this movie on DVD, but I finally did. And as a result, I must re-evaluate my previous aversion to reboots. BSG started me along that path, and Batman Begins continues that drive.
I suspected this movie was filmed in Chicago when I saw the close-ups of the river/city scenery, and I was right; director Christoper Nolan chose well when he decided to film the ultra-urbanized, nonregulated sprawl of that massive metropolis. There wasn’t as much retro as in previous Batman films, and that’s OK. I found the towering elevated monorail mass transit system built by the Waynes a suitable tip to that interpretation…and that says a lot because I happen to like retro. The Batmobile just…kicked…serious a**!
Warner Bros. will have something going if they manage to keep Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader (now that word will make the Muslims rage and seethe to no end!) for at least three films. What killed the other Batman films was pure greed on the part of the stars. It was also fun to see Rutger Hauer put on some pounds and play a Bad Guy. Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman also did quite a nice job in their roles as well. Michael Caine makes an excellent Alfred. And let’s see: Liam Neeson goes from playing a master of martial arts, teaching pupils to restore balance…to playing a master of martial arts, teaching pupils to restore balance. Hmmmm…
Oh yeah, Katie Holmes as Gotham City DA Rachel Dawes, who happens to be Bruce Wayne’s childhood friend and carried a torch for him all those years: flat and boring. I don’t know and don’t care to know if she was under Tom Cruise’s influence while she was making this film. In any case, will someone please put her on that space plane back to Xenu‘s home galaxy? Thank you.
Batman Begins is rated PG-13 for Intense Action Violence, Disturbing Images and Some Thematic Elements. Now what is that supposed to mean? Reboots are not all bad. My rating: 7.5

No computer is perfect. Not even a Mac.
Allow me to say that again: No computer is perfect. Not even a Mac.
Even I had to exchange my original MacBook when a logic board failure occurred. Since then, it’s worked just fine. Nevertheless, the MacBook has earned a rough reputation in the service area, such that one has to be vigilant when operating this particular model. Laptops in general are different creatures than desktop machines, and this applies to PCs as well as Macs.
Got $3,675 to burn while you’re in Vegas…or at the Kennedy Space Center for that matter?
Well if you do, why not take a zero-G flight and experience what the astronauts train for? I’ll admit right up front: I don’t have the stomach for it. Bummer.
One thing which concerns me though is the plane they’ll use: a Boeing 727. Isn’t that a little crowded and more likely to induce the state of el vomito? Ugh.

With all the cutting and running they are now positioning us for, this is what the Democrats in Congress and their “constituents” stand for: the destruction of the United States:

In case anyone’s forgotten…this is the Seal of the United States, as currently displayed at our former Embassy in Tehran.
Finally, a judge wakes up and figures out the plaintiffs who filed a lawsuit against Donald Rumsfeld for the actions he took while Secretary of Defense are total bulls**t..and throws out the case. Hopefully, with prejudice. As in: get your a**es out of here and don’t EVER come back!
Said plaintiffs charged those who were allegedly tortured in overseas prisons should be given protection under the United States Constitution. Again: total bulls**t! Prisons which are operated overseas do so under their laws, not ours.
I have a word of advice for these whiny leftists: go back to what you were doing all along and let us grownups fight this war!
I’ve read this article three times and I still can’t understand how the ban the San Francisco Board of Supervisors enacted on plastic grocery bags is actually a ban, given that they allow grocers and pharmacists the option to offer plastic which is made from corn by-products. Read ethanol.
This is yet another effort to regulate what people can and cannot use, which is what Democrats are great at. Perhaps the Donks in SF are encouraging another bag be used…one made of canvas…which could come from, say, hemp. Yeah, that’s right, keep everyone stoned and happy.

Wow man…COSMIC!
I’m not even going to go into the fact that Baltar was acquitted of treason charges. Besides, he’s now a Man Without A Country.
What I’ll discuss here is my reaction to the song which is picked up by four characters (Saul Tigh, Galen Tyrol, Samuel Anders, and Tory Foster) as some sort of talk wireless signal…which they expressed as something they heard when they were young (as a children’s song). The episode ends with a tripped-out cover version of the Bob Dylan classic, later covered by Jimi Hendrix, which is the title of this post…as well as a view of Earth, perhaps as seen by Starbuck. This only contributes to my belief all along that this series takes place in the far future.
We now have ten months to ponder exactly where the signal emanates from…and to figure out whether these characters who received the signal are indeed Cylons of a different sort…or as I suspect, descended from the gods themselves.
Note to Bear McCreary: Please include this on the Season 3 Soundtrack!
The comparison between this cliffhanger and the ending from the Original Series episode “The Hand of God,” where Boomer discovered the gamma-frequency signal which ultimately turned out to be from the Apollo 11 moon landing, is obvious. It’s like being sober (Original Series) and stoned on chamalla!
Imagine that.

UPDATE (2108 MST): FRAKKIN’ A! Bear says his mix of All Along The Watchtower WILL be on the Season 3 Soundtrack!
The junior Senator from New York State always rants about how angry she is with President Bush. Is that always a given?
Not exactly. Here is a secret video taped at a Hollywood fundraiser for the Democrats, headlined by Barbra Streisand of all people. In it, Shrillary actually expresses gratitude to the President that she and Senator Chuck Schumer were able to secure funding for her state after 9/11.
After seeing this, another analogy comes to mind: a dog (or in this case, a b***h?) biting the hand which feeds it.

Sydney, Australia falls for the Goracle’s mantra and agrees to a partial blackout of the city for one hour, to bring the issue to the forefront. This is downright idiotic. When sixth graders who are not so tainted by all the Kerryesque nuances of politics and elitism, not to mention Gore’s film, hold a mock trial and determine that humanity is not at fault…then there’s something wrong with this.
Oh, and did I mention Mars?
I’m not laughing. Is it a laughable matter? Depends on your view of technology. But given that it is equipped with a 128GB flash drive (and not a hard drive) and among other items…a colored diamond for a power switch and an integrated screen cleaner, that should point you in the general direction.
One thing is for sure: this price won’t last long, because flash drives are trending downward, and as ingenious as the integrated screen cleaner is, that will show up in future, less-expensive products down the road. So, whoever’s got a million bucks to put down on this has got money to burn. And since it doesn’t say otherwise, it probably runs Windoze.
Click on the thumbnail for more details.
When I get up in the wee hours of the morning I kinda ask the same question about myself sometimes…no, just kidding.
Anyway, now that I have ten long months to think about the issue, I’ll be debating it with other Galactica Fans elsewhere, and here’s a good “tool” in the arsenal. Then again, we may all be looking at this the wrong way anyway, given the twists and turns which have already taken place.
But one thing is for sure: I am NOT a Cylon. Start the clock. My cubits are on Anders.
