I have an extremely difficult time imagining this man as James T. Kirk. I also have an extremely difficult time imagining Adrien Brody as Mr. Spock. And I have less difficult of a time imaging Gary Sinise as Dr. McCoy.
Of all the TV shows they should not reboot, Star Trek is it. That’s because there’s 40 years of history behind it. Ugh.

Hmmm…now here’s an interesting development: Vivendi Universal Music…owned by the French, mind you…is threatening not to renew their contract with Apple to supply their music catalogue to the iTunes Store. Which group will this threat hurt more: Apple…or the iTunes users who buy the music and refrain from piracy?
I wonder what my unnamed sources in the industry would have to say about this.

Man, am I glad I no longer use Colgate toothpaste. They’ve been having problems with fake products hitting storeshelves in Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Virginia, as well as Canada (most likely Ontario). And this is the second round of bogus toothpaste, this stuff coming from South Africa; other items have previously come from China.
For the record, I use Sensodyne Toothpaste, and it’s Made In The USA. It says so right on the label. So why the fake stuff from China and South Africa? I wonder what Colgate Palmolive has to say about this…for all we know, if they’re deliberately cutting corners with importing toothpaste from other countries, they might just as well be selling us this.
And don’t think the government gets off scot free, either. These incidents are just another symptom which can be traced back to lackadaisical enforcement of consumer protection laws.

And according to the Daily Mail, more arrests are being made in connection to this attack…as well as last week’s foiled car bombs in London and lo and behold! It could be another Doctors’ Plot on the part of the Alpha Qaedas (remember that folks, that’s how National Lampoon mocked those b*st*rds).
