Funny that the Obama campaign is going apes**t because of comments from A DEMOCRAT, Geraldine Ferraro no less, who purports that the junior Senator from Illinois got to this point in the campaign...because he’s black.
Imagine that. 24 years ago, the country (the Democrats at least) got caught up in the concept of a woman on the ticket. And then she (and Fritz Mondale) got their a**es handed to them by Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. But here’s the real difference. Fritz & T*ts had substance in their promises (like raising Taxes) in their speeches. Obama doesn’t have substance at all. All we hear about from the guy is “Si se puede.”
I’m still getting the popcorn ready for Denver in August....

Here’s a saying which makes sense, from political consultant Norman Adler, regarding the current Ho scandal where New York State Governor Elliot Spitzer (who is a Democrat) got caught with his pants down...and may even resign to avoid impeachment:
“I’m sure that more champagne is being filled in Albany today than in the last five years.”
If I were a resident of the Empire State, I’d want a drink too...but something a little less nuanced like, say, Bourbon and Coke. Or if I’m really in the mood to drink away the headaches politicians want to give away all the time...Beer.

I got some very sad news last night. I have two friends in California, and they’ve split up. If either or both of them are reading this, I want them to know that for 17 years they’ve been my friends, still are my friends, and I’ll always love them both as my friends.
That said...I am just shaking my head in puzzlement and sadness. With the kind of world we live in, when we find someone, we can’t just toss that significant other person to the side when things get tough. Only God can get a couple through those times. He’s there for the bad times as well as the good. He wants us to turn to Him to help, to trust Him, and He will come through. He always does; we just don’t know exactly how.
With all the stuff that’s happened to me, both good and bad, over the last five months, I believe God has something planned for me.

Now that I’ve finally seen all ten Star Trek movies, thankfully apologizing to the Official Roommate for his allowance to indulge my curiosity in seeing the tenth movie, it’s time to rate them all.
I: The Motion Picture - 5.5. Not so motionless as one would have you believe. The Director’s Cut finally gives this movie its due by cleaning out all the crap from it. For those digital enchancements, this actually gets a 1/2-point rating increase! Ain’t I magnanimous!
II: The Wrath of Khan - 9.75. The best of the lot, bar none! Almost Perfect Star Trek, with none of the political correctness so prevalent in today’s entertainment.
III: The Search For Spock - 6. At least the Klingon Ambassador had it right: “There shall be no peace as long as Kirk lives.” Back then, I thought this movie would lead into a general war with the Klingons, and I had visions of “Winds of War,” which came out at the same time.
IV: The Voyage Home - 9. San Francisco sure does look different today, even when this movie was brand new way back in 1986. Always a Mac Classic. “Hello, Computer!” And I had also hoped Gillian would have settled down with Kirk, but that was not to be. Now if only they published “I Hate You” from that movie!
V: The Final Frontier - 4. While this flick had plot holes big enough to drive a starship through, at least there was an actual plot: the search for God. But what would God need a starship for? Now if only Spock had (inadvertently) farted while eating McCoy’s beans!
VI: The Undiscovered Country - 9.5. This one is almost as intense at II. At least TPTB tied it into the end of the Cold War in more ways than one.
VII: Generations - 6. Please Kirk...stay dead. While the Enterprise-D was lost and the Duras Sisters got their a**es handed to them cold...in space, Data had the funniest line: “Oh SH************T!!!!”
VIII: First Contact - 8. It was nice to see a little History established with this effort. Seeing the Titan Missile Museum (where the silo scenes were filmed) was also a real treat.
IX: Insurrection - 7. I can see where Hidden Frontier came from with this film. Picard almost got lucky. This one broke the odd-numbered jinx.
X: Nemesis - 3. The worst of the lot! Even worse than V. The Official Roommate was dutifully counting off the plot holes with the film, I stopped keeping track after seeing the chromed phaser rifles the characters were locking & loading. And what really killed it for me was when Shinzon impaled himself further, just like Saruman’s lead Uruk-Hai!
There, I’m done. Anyone care to argue with me?
I’ll bet you weren’t aware that conservatives can like musicians such as Frank Zappa! YES! it’s true. Here’s a song I remember from my high school days, the lead-off track from his “One Size Fits All” album from 1975, “Inca Roads”:
This is not your typical French woman...this is Carla Bruni, the wife of French President Nicholas Sarkozy. She’s actually French by injection. There’s some study out there which suggests that French women have become sexually predatory. I find that hard to believe, since their demographics have changed recently and there’s only one community in France which chooses to procreate...and it ain’t the French.
What really caught my eye (and made me laugh my a** off) is this particular quote from Madame Bruni (or does she go by Bruni-Sarkozy now? Damfino):
“I want a man with nuclear power.”
Take that as you will....
See this body of water? You all know what it is. It’s known to all as the Persian Gulf.
Now, how do you piss off the Iranians? By calling it the Arabian Gulf like Google did. Here’s the text of a letter from Rahmatollah Fattahi, the head of the Iranian Library and Information Science Association (ILISA) president :
On behalf of the Library and Information Science profession in Iran, I would like to express my protest against your new decision regarding the addition of “Arabian Gulf” parallel to “Persian Gulf” on the map of the Persian Gulf region.
I strongly suggest that you rethink about the case. Please refer to all historical atlases of the region as well as of the world and realize that there has not been such a phrase (i.e.,” Arabian Gulf") in any of them. In other words, there is no historical basis for the fabricated “Arabian Gulf”. This can be considered as false information to people.
I would appreciate it if you could manage omitting the “Arabian Gulf” from all your maps. Your world reputation depends on true and well-documented information.
Sometimes I wonder who’s the worse pain in the a**: Google or Microsoft, but in this case, I have to give points to both sides: Google for pissing off the Iranians, and the Iranian guy for his last sentence.

When I got home last night, I found this particular photograph online regarding the terrorist attack on a Jerusalem seminary. This doesn’t surprise me one bit, given that these are Paleostinians:
Just like they did on 9/11. Hamas didn’t come right out and say that they did this, but when the perp’s family hangs Hamas flags outside their house in mourning, that kinda tells you something: as in who elected these people to run their “Authority.”
If you can stomach them, More photos of the Yeshiva tragedy here. WARNING! NOT SAFE FOR WORK!

The 48-Hour Rule is in effect...Al the Lazy Sod, according to MEMRI, was secretly transferred to an Iranian hospital a few days ago for food poisoning, and is in a coma. Iranian doctors, assisted by Русские Доктора.
Hmmm...Русские Доктора...I wonder if there’s any polonium involved here? Inquiring Minds Want To Know! Stay Tuned for further developments!

This, from Matt Drudge:
Matt, MUST you torture us with images of this??? (snicker)
It’s official: while the Democrats continue to slug it out all the way to Denver and then some (please pass the popcorn please!), the Republican Party’s nominee was officially decided last night, as Senator John McCain won all four primaries: Ohio, Texas, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Now the next race is on: who will McCain pick for his running mate, and will he choose early...or wait until the convention in St. Paul? I certainly hope and pray he picks the right person to fill out his shortcomings with the party’s conservative base.
I’ve said time and again that while I have criticized Senator McCain in the past on campaign finance reform and the Illegals, and believe me, those are major points, they pale in comparison to the real issue of our time, the War against the Islamofascists, To those detractors on the Left who read this blog, I say this: whatever you espouse has absolutely NO bearing whatsoever if we are all DEAD. That’s why I support Senator McCain, because he will chase Osama and the Islamofascists to the Gates of Hell.

Although McCain, at this point, has the GOP nomination well in hand but not quite there yet, I’ll concentrate on the race between Shrillary and Osama Obama. First of all, I don’t give a s**t what the rest of the world thinks. If I want to say the name Barack HUSSEIN Obama then I will do so and not bat an eye. Then again, I don’t have to thanks to the generous gift from Ted Kennedy himself! Heheheheheheheh....
But I digress. Anyway, if Hillary doesn’t win both Texas and Ohio by large margins, you can stick a fork in her, she’s done. Unless she plans to hack it out on the convention floor. In which case, I’m planning on popping some popcorn which I can munch on and you’re more than welcome to join me!
