“Citizen journalism” apparently just failed its first significant test.  A CNN iReport poster reported this morning that Steve Jobs had been rushed to the ER after a severe heart attack.  Fortunately, it appears the story was false. We contacted an Apple spokeswoman, who categorically denied it.

Apparently, according to this report, Apple’s stock took a dive for a short bit before the rumor was shown to be false. There’s quite likely going to be an SEC investigation, and CNN should be careful to confirm the iReport stories sent in before they’re published. Of course, if the story’s about someone on the right side of the aisle, given the MSM’s rabid bias, they’d let it go on the web anyway.

Did Governor Palin hold her own against Senator Biden? Short answer: yes she did, and she exposed Senator Biden for the tired old Donk hack that he is. And tired is right; there were some huge bags under Biden’s eyes.
Here’s what Drudge’s poll showed approximately ten minutes after the conclusion of the debate:

Even Gwen Ifill had to watch her P’s and Q’s when asking questions; she even let Senator Biden interrupt her. Overall, a good showing for the Alaska Governor! And even the Little Booger slept through it all!

It used to be said that The Apocalypse would be at hand when the Boston Red Sox played the Chicago Cubs in the World Series. That is, until the Red Sox won it all in 2004, breaking the Curse of the Bambino. The Curse of the Billy Goat, however, is still in effect, and it’s now been a full century since the Cubs last won a World Series.
Think about that...100 years. Powered flight, two World Wars, the Atomic Bomb, a Cold War, Man on the Moon, and now the War on Terror. Through all that, the Cubs Fans have suffered. And truth be told, I hope this is the year where the Cubs finally win it all, as does one certain Chicago Dude Who Trades. I’m pulling for him too. The only thing missing from it all is, of course, Harry Caray.

See, for the past two weeks I’ve had to function with this type of footwear. It is not pleasant. I have an appointment with the doctor in about an hour which should confirm what I’ve suffered from all this time, which I first thought was a broken toe but isn’t.
