Up. Again.

After my previous post, I decided to call the Lady E while she was driving to work over in Meecheegan. The commute is rough on her, and a comforting voice is what she needs. I’m glad I can give her that. She mentioned she wants to go the Labor Day Bridge Walk, but she isn’t sure of whether she should go, given all the organizing and/or coordinating she has for our wedding.
Anyway, I was on the phone with her for about 20 minutes, and when I tried to go back to sleep, I couldn’t. So, I made myself useful. Did some dishes, cleaned up the kitchen a bit, and then had a “breakfast” of a peanut butter on toast sandwich. Perhaps after this, I can go back to sleep.
I hope.

Cry Me a Frakkin’ River

Filed under: | War on Terror

Now here’s the face of a young man who is now whining, bitching, and moaning about his capture on the streets of Kabul, when he says he was 12 years old. Back in 2002.
I say bulls**t. Just his photo alone tells me that he looks a little bit older than that, even when six-plus years of incarceration are factored in. The US did a bone scan on the guy while he was at Gitmo and confirmed that he was older than he claimed. Of course, his family would blame the JOOOOOOs.
And apparently this Terrorist may want to study in the United States to become a doctor. Knowing الرئيس أوباما, I can see this happening.

Your Taxpayer Dollars At Work

Filed under: | Axis of Donks

Just like some “stimulus” checks were sent to dead people, so more of these have been sent to prisoners! So far, about 2,200 get to actually keep the checks because, under government rules, they were not incarcerated during the eligibility months. I’m truly surprised that the Demo☭rats haven’t just given even more away to the entire prison population of the United States.
And apparently, there’s a rumor floating around that rebates received under Cash For Clunkers is taxable. Let’s hold off on that one until 2009 Tax Season starts…then we’ll see what the IRS will say about that one.

Ted Kennedy is DEAD

Filed under: | Axis of Donks

Well, the “Liberal Lion” of the Senate finally has left us. Some unknown user over at Wiki has already left an unusual listing. I took a screen shot before it gets edited properly. And NO, it was NOT me:

I’m sure that he’s already in front of God, answering for his actions during his life here on Earth…like we all will have to do someday. It will also be interesting to see if the Family of Mary Jo Kopechne will issue a statement. We’ll have to wait and see.
And just wait…Президент Оба́ма will invoke Ted Kennedy’s memory to attempt one more time to get Congress to pass Оба́маcare. It’s coming.

UPDATE (08/26/2009, 0825 MST): I have to admit, perhaps I saw this coming last year….

Gravity Takes Over

Actually, it took over for me about an hour and a half ago. But who’s counting anyway? From the wires:

IS MAC TABLET COMING? Good question. Steve Jobs is spending an awful lot of time on the subject.

PMSNBC = VOMITORIUM: I’ll have to remember that designation for those folks…It’s so apropos!

DON’T HIT THE TV: Seems that there is a slight flaw in the new Cowboys Stadium, as shore ‘nuff purty it is. Hey, nothing is perfect in this world.

I Pray For Our Country

Filed under: | Axis of Donks

...now that Президент Оба́ма and his family are on vacation. Two prayers, in fact: one, that there are no reassuring utterances from Joe The Biden™, Диктор Пелоси, Сенатор Рид, and of course Барни Франк.
And two, you ask? Why, that somehow and someway, there are no utterances from Kim Jong Il, Mr. Dinner Jacket, the other Islamofascists, and Comrade Chavez. That’s because the Оба́маs are on vacation, and they’re asking for privacy from the MSM. I hope he remembers that he’s the Президент 24/7 until January 20, 2013.

More Euro PC Bulls**t Language

And I thought we’re starting to see bad things here in the USA when it comes to political correctness, no thanks to the Оба́ма Administration. Europe takes it to the next level:

It could be construed as a black day for the English language — but not if you work in the public sector.
Dozens of quangos and taxpayer-funded organisations have ordered a purge of common words and phrases so as not to cause offence.
Among the everyday sayings that have been quietly dropped in a bid to stamp out racism and sexism are “whiter than white”, “gentleman’s agreement”, “black mark” and “right-hand man”.

Which are replaced by “purer than pure”, “agreement based on trust”, “miserable mark”, and “second in command”, respectively. Doubleplusgood concepts such as these belong in the worlds of Orwell and Huxley.

Monday Morning Wires

What’s on the wires:

GLENN BECK BOYCOTT BACKFIRING: Perhaps the left should read the memoirs of Isoroku Yamamoto. (Thanks to BolianAdmiral)

TV CONTESTANT/MURDER SUSPECT DEAD IN CANADA: GOOD. That’s one less wasted trial cost for the American and Canadian Taxpayers, eh.

BOSTON GLOBE: KENNEDY SHOULD GO: You don’t say. Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment.

Race Card

Filed under: | Axis of Donks

Here we have the Governor of New York State with low approval ratings (right now, Оба́ма‘s is nowhere near this guy right now), and instead of admitting responsibility for his own low ratings, he blames it on the media, which I find most amusing:

“We’re not in the post-racial period. The reality is the next victim on the list - and you can see it coming - is Президент Бара́к Оба́ма, who did nothing more than trying to reform a health care system.”

Paterson’s own words mark him as the next recipient of the Race Card!

The Accolades Pour In

And from around the blogosphere, bloggers are sending me e-mails! Here are a few:

oh well…he went kinda moderate anyway

Personally, I think he lost it when Оба́ма was elected.

Not really an exclusive club, if you consider its size. But based on quality, you’re in good company.

I am indeed.

I’m not surprised. You’re not the only one. I left before I could be banned. I gave up on Charles a long time ago and haven’t been to his site in ages.

I think the time is right to foment a revolution, don’t you agree?

Heh heh! Its about time, Macker! U weren’t trying hard enough smile

That much is obvious. I should have voted with my feet some time ago.
In any case, I’m free of the Lizard Kingdom; I enjoy being HUMAN once again! Thanks to all who wrote in!

Gordo Discussed Lockerbie Release with Gaddafi

Filed under: | War on Terror

Looks like British Prime Minister Gordon Brown got suckered by that crackpot dictator who still fancies himself a Colonel. He was thusly fooled six weeks ago when he discussed the overall conditions for the “humanitarian” release of Pan Am 103 Terrorist Abdulbaset al-Megrahi.
I don’t know when the next Q&A seesion with his Parliament will occur, but when it does, I’ll be he’ll get raked over the coals. Probably not enough to call for a Vote of No Confidence, but enough to scold him. None of this changes the fact that the UK frakked up, Big Time.

Saturday Night Massacre

Well guess what, Charles Johnson is apparently cleaning house over of LGF, ridding himself of all the conservative members…and I’m one of them!
Oh Well, Charles. I’m not afraid to go to places you find verboten. Sorry I don’t fit in anymore there.
Take care of yourself.

Macker At The Movies

Since I had my day off today this week, I was pretty busy: chiropractic adjustment, ophthamologist exam (which went VERY well, she didn’t have to dilate my pupils!), cashier’s check at the Bank for the AFR, and then this movie. From the first Nazis being slaughtered to the explosive climax, Inglourious Basterds is one hell of a ride.
Quentin Tarentino was absolutely right in that this film is indeed a Spaghetti Western set during World War II in Nazi-occupied France. There were two strange scenes: the first was Joseph Goebbels going at it with his French interpreter, obviously a nasty fantasy for a young Jewish woman who plotted to kill him; the second was the same woman all dressed in red before her big scene, set to David Bowie’s theme from Cat People! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over and out!
Inglourious Basterds is rated R for Extreme War Violence and some language. Now, in that alternate history, does that end in millions more dying over in the Pacific Theater, 11 months early? Somehow, I can see Tarentino taking the surviving Basterds and shipping them over to Japan! My Rating: 8.5

Kennedy Wants MA Law Changed AGAIN

Filed under: | Axis of Donks

Five years ago he persuaded the Massachusetts Legislature to change its law regarding filling a vacancy in its US Senate seat. He did that in case his junior counterpart won the Presidential Election that year; Mitt Romney was Governor at the time and Kennedy didn’t want him to name Kerry’s replacement, had he won.
Now that he’s dying, he wants the law changed back to the way it was beforehand: the Governor (who is, of course, a Demo☭rat) appoints the successor immediately. He’s doing this to preserver his Party’s filibuster-proof majority, pure and simple.
Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment.
