Miss Bush Yet?

Filed under: | Axis of Donks | Republicans

Apparently, some good folks in Ohio do:

From Tom Jensen at Public Policy Polling on Tuesday: “We’ll start rolling out our Ohio poll results tomorrow but there’s one finding on the poll that pretty much sums it up: by a 50-42 margin voters there say they’d rather have George W. Bush in the White House right now than Бара́к Оба́ма.”
In 2008, Бара́к Оба́ма rolled over John McCain 2,940,044 to 2,677,820.
Using Surber Math, that’s a 262,224-vote margin.
What happened?
The unknown became the known.
Prince Charming turned out to be a frog.
Imagine that.

JUst wait till Президент Оба́ма starts blaming The American People for his failures. Please pass the popcorn please.

What A Novel idea

Filed under: | Republicans | War on Terror

In case you haven’t been keeping up with the news lately, there was a recent leakage of over 90,000 classified government documents through WikiLeaks, allegedly by way of Private Bradley Manning. US Representative Mike Rogers (R-MI08), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, is on record as favoring Capital Punishment if Manning is found Guilty in a Court Martial.
Unfortunately, since the military is subject to Конгресс (controlled by Demo☭rats), and is under much public scrutiny anyway, this will likely not happen…and I would be truly surprised if it did. The Оба́ма Режим will use his case as an excuse to coerce the United States Armed Forces to end DADT, sparing the gay community, who will likely hoist him up as a martyr, from doing so.

McCain Debate Drinking Game

Filed under: | Republicans | The 48th State

The Osprey and I caught most of this on TV last night…after all, we had to haul our a**es over to a common spot…in this case, my house. Osprey brought the goods and we proceeded to drink whenever McCain said:

• “Facts are stubborn things.”
• “My Friends.”
• “There you go again.”

Here is Part I of last night’s GOP US Senate debate with McCain, JD, and Jim Deakin.

What A Great Idea!

Filed under: | Border Security | Republicans

See this guy? This is Barry Wong and he’s running for the Arizona Corporation Commission. He has a novel proposal which is already getting him in hot water…cutting off power and gas to the Illegals who manage to live here:

“It is not a right. It is a service,” Barry Wong, candidate for the Arizona Corporation Commission, told The Arizona Republic.
The Republican candidate argues that the policy would be a cost-saving measure for consumers.
Though it would cost money for power companies to check immigration status, he said it would ultimately save money because power companies would not have to build new plants to serve the illegal immigrant community, presumably passing on that savings to consumers. His plan, if elected to the five-person commission, would be to require utilities to check immigration status.
“There is a cost ratepayers shouldn’t have to bear because of the illegal immigrant population,” he said, while acknowledging the idea would probably attract “criticism about human-rights violations.”

What Wong is doing is taking the effect of SB1070 to the next level. Look for said criticism from human rights groups in 5…4…3…2….

I’ve said it for years, and here Tim James of Alabama says it again:

English should be the Official Language of the United States of America. And of course, those of us who believe this are Racist!

How To Needle McCain

Filed under: | Republicans | The 48th State

Crappy Tax Day, everyone.
You know damn well Senator McCain ain’t gonna be at the Tax Day Tea Party Rally in Tempe (and JD IS); because he would certainly face the wrath of the voters who DO show up, just for all the times he’s “reached across the aisle”, hurting our country in the process!
So if you want to know how to razz McCain at his next campaign appearance, click here. GO JD!

UPDATE (0807 MST): Here’s a parody, courtesy of buzzsawmonkey:

Who is the stumpy Senator there?

“Maverick” is his claim

On the campaign trail to nowhere

Bipartisanship his object
Compromise his game.

Crossin’ the aisle is his style

“Maverick” is his claim

Don’t want anyone to be riled
Let’s all be gentlemen

Better to be tame.

Half-hearted soft-sell!

A conservative death-knell!

Platitudes cut the heart from his campaign!

Too genial to fight;
If Оба́ма wins, all right…

“Maverick” is the claim of John McCain

Worth The Hangover

Filed under: | Republicans | The 48th State

Yes, Republican Congressional Candidate Vernon Parker, Mayor of Paradise Valley, appeared at a conservative bloggers’ get-together this afternoon in Tempe, where we discussed Оба́маcare, more Оба́маcare, and some other GOP-related issues. And yes, I’ve been here before. Thank goodness The Mrs. didn’t get said hangover from the most scrumptious dessert we’ve ever had!

Reagan Was Right…Again

Filed under: | History | Republicans

In his 1989 Farewell Address, President Reagan warned about Revisionists changing our History and making us forget we are Americans:

Lo and Behold, that’s exactly what Президент Оба́ма and his Demo☭rat comrades are doing. If Reagan were alive today and in full control of his faculties, he’d be in a state of Righteous Wrath, to say the least.

JD: Come Home McCain

As slow a day as it was at work, this news certainly cheered me up, as former GOP Congressman JD Hayworth stepped down yesterday from his Drive-Time show on KFYI:

“I think we all respect John. I think his place in history is secure. But after close to a quarter-century in Washington, it’s time for him to come home.”

Indeed. JD hasn’t formally declared yet, but I daresay there will be more than a few good folks I know who will sign up to work for him!
