Social Engineering BS

So now, the wise powers that be at Sesame Workshop have decreed that Cookie Monster can only eat Cookies SOMETIMES.
WTF! This is yet another sign of political correctness run amok. Changing Cookie Monster’s reason for being (I won’t bother using the French phrase here, sorry!) is as bad as telling Swedish Chef he has to cook other stuff besides swedish meatballs.

Besides I don’t know what’s worse: this, or Ving Rhames playing Kojak. Don’t get me wrong, I like Ving Rhames as an actor (he’s quite funny sometimes, especially when he was doing the Radio Shack commercials)...but Kojak was Greek through and through. Who knows where it will end?

A Copyrighted Public Sculpture?

I kid you not. I wish I were. Some new sculpture in Millennium Park in The People’s Socialist City-State of Chicago is apparently copyrighted to the point where regular people can’t even take a simple photograph of “The Bean.”

This is Total BS and it will give me an excuse to go photograph the damn thing next time I ever set foot in that city! Mayor Daley has gone off his rocker!

And They Complain About What?

Vice President Cheney represented the United States at an official commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz (see here)...and yet all the MSM has to bitch about is the fact that the Vice President has to DRESS DOWN for the occasion due to this health and as a result, he “...looked like an awkward child amid the well-dressed adults.”

Yes, people who have heart conditions and pacemakers, like the Vice President, can’t take risks in cold weather! I swear, these liberals who run the print and television media actually want ill things to happen to either the President, the Vice President, members of the Cabinet, whatever...or to just DIE.

STFU YOU BASTARDS!

NTU Demands Kerry Forfeiture

The National Taxpayer Union, in its report on members of Congress who spent too much time outside their duties, found Senator John F. Kerry was overpaid $90,932.68 because he was too busy campaigning for President to bother to vote on his constituents’ behalf! His running mate, former Senator John Edwards, was overpaid $63,543.16 for the same reason.

Whether these two guys (who head the list of 25 Democrats and Republicans) pay it back is up to them. Perhaps WE THE PEOPLE should DEMAND they do so! The NTU is most certainly calling for them to do just that.

An Old Rumor Made Fresh

“Us black people are dying more than any other people in this planet,” says Nobel Peace Prize winner Kenyan ecologist Wangari Maatha, a Kenyan ecologist. She says AIDS was deliberately created by the West as a biological warfare agent...what a bunch of bulls**t. Anyone who pays attention will know that is another lie created and advanced by the SOVIETS during the Reagan years.
And in case you’re wondering where the story is from....drum roll please...it’s from AFP...THE FRENCH!

Stick A Fork in Dan Rather…

He’s done. After this little debacle about CBS airing purported documents alleging President Bush’s avoidance of a mandatory physical exam, and with the blogosphere acting quickly to prove its falsehood, Dan Rather has the ‘nads to still go ON THE AIR and say they’re authentic.
Yeah right. And my name is Vladimir Putin! What REALLY pisses me off is that CBS attacks the reputation of a dead man who cannot defend himself!
In my opinion, Dan Rather should instead go on the air and issue his final newscast with his TRUE FACE. If this forgery is attached in any way, manner, shape or form to the Kerry campaign and the Clintonistas who have just taken it over, that too will be done!
(“Many Superscripts” idea courtesy of Matt Margolis at Blogs for Bush)

UPDATE: Here’s another take on Dan Rather’s attempt to defend this so-called story. Click on the photo to find the origin of the phrase uttered by one of Rather’s interviewees:

Can You Smell The Rat Yet?

Three days ago, the Governor of New Jersey, James E. McGreevey, who just happens to be a Democrat, announces his resignation and outs himself as a “gay American.” Smell the Rat yet? OK, let me help here. He’s not gay, he’s BISEXUAL, after all, he’s fathered at least 2 kids with 2 different women!
Here’s another Rat: McGreevey’s resignation is effective November 15th so that the Democrats avoid a gubernatorial special election and the seat remains in their hands until January 2006. The people of New Jersey are denied once again the choice to make that decision themselves.
And the third Rat: McGreevey meets this Israeli guy, Golan Cipel, in 2001 while on a trip to Israel, he invites him here, makes him the NJ state director of homeland security, but he can’t take the job ‘cause he couldn’t get federal security clearance due to his status as a Foreign National, so he gives him another state job anyway! This takes the entire state of New Jersey and puts it at risk due to these dalliances by their governor!
Some time during that interim McGreevey ends up having an affair with Cipel; now Cipel threatened to sue McGreevey for sexual harassment and demanded (get this) $50 MILLION as to keep quiet! BULLS**T! This isn’t sexual harassment...it’s EXTORTION.
Is this what the New Jersey Electorate bargained for? Their state has become a laughingstock of corruption. They should demand McGreevey step down NOW. At least John G. Rowland (who is a Republican) did the honorable thing and resigned a lot faster when he faced impeachment over corruption in Connecticut.

Cheney On Gas Prices

Instead of ranting on the Vice President’s uttering of The F Word to Senator Depends Patrick Leahy (D-VT), let me instead focus on an issue dear to the hearts of Americans: gas prices. In a recent interview with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto, Cheney describes a problem with the nation’s supply:

“We’ve got — I talked to a — a CEO of a major oil company the other day. He has to produce something like 51 different grades of gasoline for the U.S. market because of our Clean Air Act requirements and the fact that, you know, what you produce and sell in Detroit probably doesn’t satisfy the requirements in Chicago, doesn’t satisfy the requirements in Peoria.
“You’ve got to have a different blend of gasoline for each and every one of those jurisdictions to meet the air quality standards. That complicates it. You can’t import as much refined product from Europe as you used to be able to do because they don’t produce any other product....”

My friends, what we have here is so much governmental regulatory BS that it restrains the oil industry from getting an adequate supply to market. Here in Phoenix, we run a summer blend with MTBE as the oxygenate compound...a compound which has been BANNED in California and many other states. This is why prices are so high.
I don’t care what the environmentalists say, we’re not in the 1960s. Congress should streamline the Clean Air Act to get rid of 46 of the different “boutique” gasoline blends, leaving the market with four regional summer blends and one national winter blend.

Cosby Slams Ebonics

FINALLY, someone who cuts through the BS with the NAACP: none other than that Great American Comedian, BILL COSBY!

“Ladies and Gentlemen, the lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. ...These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids - $500 sneakers for what? And won’t spend $200 for ‘Hooked on Phonics.’
“They’re standing on the corner and they can’t speak English. I can’t even talk the way these people talk: ‘Why you ain’t,’ ‘Where you is’...And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. ... Everybody knows it’s important to speak English except these knuckleheads. ... You can’t be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!”

Now just watch: we’ll see how fast it takes for the liberal supporters of the NAACP (once an honorable organization geared to help black people in the early years of the 20th century) to start calling DOCTOR Cosby (remember folks, he has a Ph.D. in Education!) an “Uncle Tom” like they have with Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice!

It’s Only A Buck And A Half…

...and these bastards can’t even afford that? $1.50 usually buys you a mass transit ticket (with one free transfer) in most major cities. This idiot is griping about paying a buck and a half for what amounts to a cover charge levied by the city of Sea Island, GA, for the privilege of demonstrating during the upcoming G8 summit in June. This, BTW, is a standard per-participant fee for ANY organized events in their city.
“If there’s no organized activities, what’s going to happen is you’re going to have thousands of people milling through this antique city and things can get broken and things can be set afire,” says Bill Pleasant (HA!), a G8 protest organizer. Sounds to me that’s what you had in mind in the first place anyway! Who the hell do you think you’re fooling?

Pearl Widow: I Want 9/11 Money

Talk about a greedy opportunist. While Mariane Pearl had to go through hell when her husband Daniel got murdered in Pakistan shortly after 9/11, what she’s done lately has the potential of pissing off a lot of people, including me. Let’s look at excerpts from CNN’s article:

Mariane Pearl has formally appealed her case and hopes Congress will eventually pass a law to aid families of any victim targeted by al Qaeda.

Yes, what a wonderful idea...create yet another taxpayer funded entitlement scheme to compensate MORE victims! That’ll fall like a lead balloon!

Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal’s South Asia bureau chief, was abducted January 23, 2002, in Karachi, Pakistan, while working on an article about Islamic militants.
For nearly a month, investigators searched for Pearl, but a gruesome videotape of his death arrived on February 21, 2002 at the U.S. Consulate in Karachi.

Um...don’t these dates fall BEYOND September 11, 2001? Last time I checked a calendar they do!

Mariane Pearl says her husband was singled out and murdered because he worked for a prominent American company, and al Qaeda used his death as a propaganda tool.

BS! That’s not all...I seem to recall that he was murdered first and foremost BECAUSE HE WAS A JEW!

Her initial claim was rejected by Kenneth Feinberg, the administrator of the fund, because the law creating it says the victims had to have died in the attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

Yes, Mrs. Pearl: RTFM! Besides, we already got Daniel’s #1 neanderthal killer in custody, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed!

“[Daniel Pearl] went into dangerous areas, and he had to know it was a risk. My son didn’t choose to go over into a terrible nation that has terrorism,” said Bill Doyle, whose son, Joseph, worked on the 101st floor of the World Trade Center.

He’s right. As a journalist “you pays your money and you takes your chances!”

“It is getting to the point where [Adam is] going to start going to school. So then, you know, the expenses are going to grow. It’s very expensive to raise a kid, you know.”

Then if you’re already working, which you probably are, then CUT BACK on your expenses for Adam’s sake! Don’t go to the French Rivera for vacations. Stay HERE and teach him about AMERICA!

Nuff ‘said.

And Who’s The Problem Again?

Over the last two years, the Federal Government’s discretionary spending grew 27 PERCENT over the last two years!! This, compared to an average growth rate of 2.4% per year during the 1990s. The last time we saw spending go through the roof was during the VIETNAM era.
President Bush wants discretionary spending to be capped at 4%, or roughly the rate of inflation, which is where it should be. But it isn’t happening. This should tell you that it doesn’t matter which party controls Congress...when they want to go ape over spending and pork and crap like that, they will do it.
After all...CONgress is the opposite of PROgress.

Cold War Thinking

All these fires out in California...homes are getting destroyed, some people are dying...the cost is mounting quickly, and the U.S. Government still has a Cold War mentality when it comes to solutions being offered to them on a silver platter.
EXAMPLE: Russia uses the Ilyushin IL-76 cargo aircraft as a “water bomber” for fighting forest fires. Its water capacity is four times that of the largest aircraft used for firefighting in the U.S., the Lockheed C-130. It can dump so much water onto a trouble spot, the need for fire-retardant chemicals is greatly reduced if not eliminated outright. Their forest area is a heck of a lot larger than ours is, that’s for sure.
Every time the Russians have offered the IL-76 to us for forest fires, we’ve said “thanks, but no thanks.” OK, maybe we don’t want to use their aircraft, but the sheer size of the IL-76 should, at the very least, get the guys over at Boeing working on converting the C-17 to a firefighting role.
Russia is no longer our enemy. We have to quit treating them as such when they want to offer us up some ideas on fighting forest fires. One thing’s for sure, they don’t mess around. Neither should we. CUT THE BS!
