That Didn’t Take Long

ILLEGAL COPIES of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith are now circulating on the Internet. This is piracy, pure and simple. One Dollar says they originated in CHINA.

And yes, I’m going to see the movie TODAY. Review to follow.

But it is too bad Paramount didn’t reprise his Star Trek role.

Looking Back At Disco

Compared to the corporate s**t that’s out there today, this form of hedonism prevalent in the 1970s (who all remembers the line from Saturday Night Fever: “What did you say your name was?”) is mild! A couple of months ago, I was just surfing and I came across a video clip of a German group who was lambasted as being somewhat gay on another blog (Sorry, don’t remember which blog). After watching the clip I figured “no, these guys aren’t gay...it was just the 1970s in full swing!” In fact, their dress reminded me more of Buck Rogers!
But I digress. The song Dschinghis Khan was performing, “Moskau,” was a catchy tune in its own right, and sure enough it’s available on iTunes

Star Wars: Revelations Now Available

Click on the poster above to go to TheForce.net and you better have high-speed. There is only ONE version available, in Quicktime format...and it’s 250MB!! I will post a review in about 2 hours from now.

UPDATE: 1818 MST - Star Wars: Revelations is indeed an amazing labor of love. George Lucas does let others play in his sandbox as long as said players don’t make money off it. But when people have a dream and are willing to sacrifice much in order to follow it, it shows. This independent fan film is the brainchild of Shane Felux and the hundreds of volunteers (including an entire Stormtrooper regiment: the 501st!).
George Lucas may provide the major episodes...but it will be people like those who worked on this 40-minute film who will fill in the holes. I am sure he has already seen this film...and quite likely blessed it, much like he supposedly did with Troops.
My only question now is: How fast can these guys make a DVD image available?

Nevertheless...Go and Download this film NOW. The Macker Commands It!

TROOPS SEQUEL IS COMING!

In case you aren’t aware...”Troops” was a Fan Film made in 1997, where Star Wars met COPS. Now the sequel is about to be released! The teaser trailer is now available!

I tell ya, between this and Revelations, oh yeah, not to mention Episode III...it’s a great time to be a Star Wars Fan!

UPDATE: Now because of the DSL access I’ve had for a full three months I’m taking full advantage of downloading even more great Fan Films based on Star Wars, such as this one, ”Broken Allegiance” from Australia...Holy Smokes, I better stock up on some DVD’s so I can burn all this stuff to them!

What A Bad Month!

Yeah, I haven’t been in the mood lately for a couple of reasons:
1) Production at work sucks across the board, and
2) The girl I’m interested in has concerns about the long-distance aspect of our relationship. We are both impatient people by nature and it is tough to deal with having to wait till Memorial Day weekend!

Has there been any good news? Well as a matter of fact, yes!
1) I’m now up to 13 free downloads in this year’s Pepsi iTunes Promo, compared with last year’s total of 8.
2) ATTENTION STAR WARS FANS! Mark April 16 on your calendar, and bring your high-speed Internet access with you...a very special independent film production titled Star Wars: Revelations will be shown at the Senator Theater in Baltimore, MD, then two days later released to the public AS A FREE DOWNLOAD! I’ve already seen the trailer and it is the most significant fan-based production for Star Wars I’ve ever seen! I can’t wait. No need for Wookiee Hooky!

I promise!

I Resemble That Remark

Filed under: | Entertainment | РУССКИЕ ДЕЛА

Y’know, I haven’t heard much from Warner Bros. regarding the latest effort in the Harry Potter saga. While I admit watching all three movies produced so far has been entertaining in their own right, I don’t keep up on the progress of either the books or the next movie. But I am sure one prominent world leader has to defend himself against the hordes of Harry Potter Fans…

And while I’m on the subject...doesn’t this childhood literary character now look eerily like MARILYN MANSON!?!?!?

James Bond Should Retire

I’m beginning to think that 21 James Bond films is enough. The world has changed so much since even the days of Timothy Dalton, one of the most underrated actors to play the part, and I only rate him higher than any of the others, save Sean Connery of course! I haven’t even seen Die Another Day...and I loathe the idea of doing so.
The way things are going, the next actor to play 007 is going to add his “flavour” to the character, much like the nine actors who have played a famous Time Lord. Which leads me to wonder: is James Bond...Gallifreyan?

Missile Command Demonstration

One other game I do play from time to time is SimCity 4 and my current city is Fort Sentinel, which was founded in the shadow of a great mountain called Mt. Sentinel (DUHHH!). I recently “invited” SimNation to not only build an Army base near my town, but also base part of its nuclear deterrent force some distance from downtown...which brings in some much needed revenue when…

...Lo and Behold! Who would demonstrate but the damn LIBERALS!

Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

Thus is the question I ponder regarding the approaching Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Las Vegas blogger (and prominent comics author) James Hudnall reveals that the official site already has the scroll text for Episode III. Go read it and decide for yourself.

Hey, at least the Ewoks in Galactic Battlegrounds have superior firepower and are worth saving. Jar Jar Binks, on the other hand...!
