Throw The Book At Him

Filed under: The UN | War on Terror |

So this cowardly bastard refuses to deploy over to Iraq, saying that it’s unlawful to be over there because we’re supposed to wage war in accordance with the United Nations. To which I reply: BULL-S**T!
Allow me to remind this a**hole of the oath he took when he received his commission:

“I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God.”

Nothing is in there which ties the UN to his service. And if he persists to spout the UN at his court martial, I’m sure they’ll have 17 UN resolutions which point to the lawfulness of this war and occupation of Iraq.
I hope he does very hard labor at Fort Leavenworth!

Ink On A Page

Filed under: Axis of Evil | The UN |

Outgoing US Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, is teaming up with Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz (who at least Knows The Score) and former Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Dore Gold, in bringing forth charges of inciting Genocide against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at...of all places...the International Court of Justice at The Hague. They cite the 1948 UN Convention on Genocide, to which Iran is a signatory.
As valiant as this move is, it will go nowhere with the ICJ. Look, for example, at the Hague’s prosecution of Slobodan Misonofabitch Milosevic. It took them just over four years and the guy ended up cheating the court, but not God’s final say of course. The only real prosecution (and judgment, and execution) Mr. Dinner Jacket will receive will come in the form of an Express Air Delivery about 30 minutes after he uses a nuke on Tel Aviv.

And Not A Moment Too Soon

After milking the United Nations for all it was worth, outgoing Secretary-General Kofi Annan (man I almost wrote Annal but caught myself at the last moment) takes a final swipe at the Bush Administration with a speech at the Harry S. Truman Presidential LIbrary in Independence, MO:

“More than ever today, Americans, like the rest of humanity, need a functioning global system through which the world’s peoples can face global challenges together. And in order to function, the system still cries out for far-sighted American leadership, in the Truman tradition.”

Yep, Mr. Annan. Americans need a world government like they need a hole in the head. Of course there are certain Americans who already have such a feature, and it ain’t people such as myself! Yet somehow, even with the conflict we had with you (thanks to John Bolton!) and the two major scandals which were uncovered by Americans, mind you!...you still had enough people kissing your a** in this country, not to mention all over the world.
Good Riddance Mr. Annan!

Bolton Steps Down

I’m sure every leftist liberal lover out there must be having monster orgasms over the news that Ambassador John Bolton is stepping down from the post come January, just before the Donks take over. President Bush was “deeply disappointed that a handful of United States senators prevented Ambassador Bolton from receiving the up or down vote he deserved in the Senate.”
Damn right! He called a bunch of bulls**t over at the UN, Kofi Annan couldn’t stand it (no matter how pretty his statement was), and neither could the Donks. So he’s gone.
Although Drudge reports that former Senator George Mitchell is being considered for the post, I think there are some other options open to the President:
1) Leave the post open for the rest of the term. Hey, we still have a voice there in the deputy ambassador, who will still do as instructed. Or…
2) If President Bush doesn’t appoint Mitchell, he could appoint Senator Joe Lieberman. If he accepted, this would piss the Democrats off ‘cause the current Governor of Connecticut is a Republican, and he’d appoint a Republican to fill the vacated Senate seat, and with it goes the Donks’ majority!
Or, if Bush really wanted to piss off the Left aisle in the Senate…
3) There’s always Rummy!
I guess we’ll have to wait till next month to see what the President does.

Open Letter to President Bush

Dear Mr. President:
Since it it so obvious to me, and also to thousands (if not millions) of Americans, that neither the outgoing Senate nor the incoming body will play ball and submit Ambassador John Bolton’s nomination to an up-or-down vote, the time has come to bypass the Senate altogether, and appoint him once again on an interim basis to serve our country.
Yes, this would mean that he would have to work without pay, but if Ambassador Bolton’s honesty and integrity in calling the UN out on its duplicitous actions concerning the United States and Israel are any indication, then I am sure he has stashed away some funds for just such a contingency. Even if he hasn’t, I, as an American Taxpayer who pays for his salary, would be willing and eager to contribute to a fund for Mr. Bolton’s benefit should one become necessary to set up.
Mr. President, I call upon you to Do The Right Thing for the United States and keep Ambassador Bolton right where he is, where he needs to be. Thank you.

A Holiday I Missed

And I’m glad I did: yes ladies and gentlemen, they celebrated United Nations Day two days ago. I completely ignored it until stumbling upon it this morning. Tell me, did I miss much?
Didn’t think so.
I’ll bet the hookers and gigolos were making tons of money off those diplomats that day!

Strongly Worded Resolution

Filed under: Axis of Evil | The UN |

As per usual, China and Russia objected to any military action against North Korea in the wake of their fizzled nuke test. As a result, a watered-down resolution was offered:

UNITED NATIONS (AP) - A new U.S. draft Security Council resolution circulated Thursday night would authorize only non-military sanctions against North Korea and require a new U.N. resolution for any further action, a key demand of China.
The draft, obtained by The Associated Press would only allow non-military sanctions such as economic penalties, breaking diplomatic relations or banning air travel.
It also eliminates a previously proposed blanket arms embargo. And it urges North Korea to speedily implement a September 2005 agreement in which it pledged to give up its nuclear program in exchange for aid and security guarantees.

Par for the course. I’ll bet Ambassador John Bolton is taking a whole bunch of Pepto-Bismol™ right about now, hopefully the lozenges and not the liquid....

A Total Waste Of Money

I have a shocking fact to reveal to you all...I did dabble in liberalism at one point in my life...way back in high school on the debate team (Yes, I got razzed for it with the typical “master debater” moniker). The resolution dealt with the global energy crisis at the time, and I attempted to argue for the creation of a Global Energy Organization which, in conjunction with the UN, would monitor energy production and distribute to countries which needed it the most. Sound familiar? Told you so. Anyway, that was a miserable experience, as this lady from Gull Lake High School named Debbie came along and knocked some sense back into my reality. I wonder whatever happened to Debbie?
But I digress. What a frakkin’ joke that energy crisis turned out to be. For that matter, what a frakkin’ joke the UN has become.
I’m not laughing. Especially this week at the 61st General Assembly meeting, where Bush spoke about spreading democracy throughout the MIddle East, to be followed up by Monsewer Chirac backing off on possible Iranian sanctions, Mr. Dinner Jacket spouting about the dangers of nuclear weapons (when they are in the hands of the Great Satan and the Zionist entity which he wants to wipe from the face of the Earth), and then Comrade Chavez calling President Bush “the Devil.” Oh, I can’t forget Kofi Annan taking a dig at the Pope’s comments about Islam’s perception by 14th-Century Christians.
And the UN delegates EAT IT UP! Such an august body of elitist master debaters is the UN. When the hell are we going to GET OUT!

Queer Eye For The Muslim Guy?

Filed under: Humor | The UN |

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was seen recently sporting the following jacket. Was he wearing this when he met with Kofi Annan?

Oh, the horrors!
Quick! Someone call those guys who do makeovers for people who have a less-than-impeccable dress code!

Blah Blah Blah Yadda Yadda Yadda

Filed under: Axis of Evil | The UN |

I got absolutely nothing from this article about the passing of yesterday’s deadline the UN had imposed on Iran to quit uranium enrichment. Yet, the august body of elites continues to debate while Iran laughs their a** off at them and the world.
One thing which bothers me even more: there is no direct quote from our Ambassador, John Bolton, yet the article is purported to be about his quote that unanimity is not necessary. Was it because the writer was too damn lazy to include the quote, or is it another hatchet job on the Bush Administration (which Ambassador Bolton is, of course, a part of)? Perhaps it’s both.

Limericks Unleashed

Don’t ask me how, but they’re on the loose over at Ace of Spades...on a scoop which deals with the head of the IAEA, Mohammed ElBaradei, possibly accepting bribes from Iran. I don’t need to tell you over what. What I can add to this story is this: it only confirms ElBaradei’s membership in the Footy Umpire Hall of Fame!

Calling BS on Annan

Filed under: Great White North | The UN |

Yesterday, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan rebuked Israel for bombing a UN outpost which resulted in the death of four peacekeepers(?). Yet, twice in the following day (that’s today), two Canadians called bulls**t on Annan’s allegation: one a retired general of the Canadian Armed Forces, the other is Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Wow! 28 years of UN bulls**t blown up in two monster smackdowns. By Canadians no less, eh. And here’s a third group to call bulls**t...introducing the BS Quartet! Click to play (WARNING! NSFW!).

UPDATE (1910 MST): And that’s not all, folks! Wait till you see the Flags of Complicity over at Small Dead Animals (a Canadian blog). If that doesn’t show just how useless the UN has become, I don’t know what will.

Note to Senate: Git ‘er Done!

Next week, the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee plans to hold hearings on the renomination of interim Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton. This time, the word “interim” MUST be removed from his title. At least one key RINO Senator, George Voinovich of Ohio, has now expressed support for Ambassador Bolton’s full confirmation, so that will definitely help get his nomination to the floor.
And the Democrats will once again try to find excuse after excuse to filibuster. This time around, Bolton’s got a record to run on. His support for the State of Israel in unequivocal and he pulls no punches. He’s the guy who gives Kofi Annan nightmares, and for that reason alone if for nothing else, the Senate should cut through the bulls**t and confirm him.

French Tax For World’s Poor

Plan on traveling overseas anytime soon? If you end up in France, you’ll fork over between €1 to €40 (depending on destination and class) which will go to the UN to help fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. Other than AIDS, I thought this stuff was pretty much eradicated.
Oh, it went into the pockets of the African dictators? Don’t pay any attention to the man behind the curtain!

Human Rights Hypocrisy

As part of their grand scheme to reform itself, the United Nations touted a new Human Rights Council. Sounds good on the surface, right? NOT!
As part of their grand scheme to blow off the world (while they get ready to blow UP a certain part of the world), Iran sends its Chief Inquisitor, Prosecutor General Saeed Mortazavi, to attend the first session...as a result, Canada is outraged and calls for his arrest for his role in the murder of Canadian photojournalist Zahra Kazemi, who was tortured to death while under detention in Iran three years ago.
Unfortunately, Mortazavi can’t be arrested since he has diplomatic immunity. No wonder the first meeting of the UN’s Human Rights Council was held in Geneva. Where are Riggs and Murtaugh when we need them?
