Michael Jackson’s legal team is encouraging him to cut a deal with the Santa Barbara County prosecutors and plead insanity that could result in his institutionalization instead of being thrown in the pen.
ANOTHER FINDING...John Hinckley is not the only person institutionalized by the United States government after acquittal by reason of insanity for an attempted assassination of a President or Presidential candidate.

We’ll find out when this sick puppy gets arrested. That is…IF he turns himself in. Michael Jackson hired prominent attorney Mark Geragos, the guy who defended Winona Ryder when she was tried for (and convicted of) shoplifting. Geragos, who currently represents Scott Peterson, is supposedly negotiating for a surrender to Santa Barbara County (California) authorities.
I personally think that if Jackson flees the country, he’ll end up in France alongside Roman Polanski. Stay tuned.

This is an interesting read from the Saddam LA Times (registration required). The man who shot President Reagan and James Brady on March 30, 1981 applies for unsupervised visitation once again. While he may have made a lot of progress with his mental health issues, the judge deciding whether to grant John W. Hinckley, Jr. unsupervised visits from his parents must also take into account the societal anger which still exists because Hinckley would be perceived as going free after more than twenty years of treatment.

“It’s even more disturbing in society that a 12-year-old youngster is cognizant of such activity.” Such are the words from a spokesman from the Dallas school district.
As if society isn’t already disturbed? Gee, he must have forgotten about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. Yeah, that must be it.

Retiring U.S. Senator Zell Miller (D-GA) has endorsed President Bush for re-election. It’s too bad there aren’t more Democrats in the vein of the late Henry “Scoop” Jackson from Washington State. I’m glad to know that he knows what to put ahead of his party…and that’s his country!
Thanks Zell! I think you’ll soon be chairing Democrats For Bush 2004 if you haven’t already been tapped for it.

Hey, if the Russians can do it, so can the Iraqis! The Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq has enacted a Flat-rate Income Tax in Iraq of 15%.
Can you imagine this here in the USA? Don’t I wish….

This might be a few days old, but so what. I’m quite amused that Fox News would put up this billboard advocating Connie Chung’s return to CNN. More amused that the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation Journal-Constitution would post the story….

OK. I actually posted this over on Hud’s Blog-O-Rama, but I’ll post it here too. Here’s my prediction on the outcome of the California Recall Election:
QUESTION 1: RECALL
YES 65%, NO 35%
QUESTION 2: SUCCESSOR
Arnold Schwarzenegger 42%
Cruz Bustamante 25%
Tom McClintock 18%
I figured I’d better add McClintock to the mix because there will be people who will vote for him, regardless. Not that that’s not a bad thing which it isn’t, because as I’ve stated before, McClintock will have a role in a Republican administration in California and possibly a national future…if he wants it.
So, there it is. Let’s see how close the numbers really are on Tuesday night. If I get close I’ll be happy, then watch the Democrats try to contest the results. If I’m wrong and the recall fails, then I’m wrong. Nevertheless, to all my friends in California:
GO TO THE POLLS AND VOTE!
VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE OF YOUR CHOICE BUT VOTE!

Remember the couple who were having sex in a New York City cathedral while being broadcast blow-by-blow by two WNEW shock jocks? Well it turns out the guy who was involved in this act has died of a heart attack.
God has His ways of dealing with desecrators, doesn’t He? But He’s not laughing that’s for sure.

I actually managed to watch the 90-minute debate between the major candidates. Here’s my opinion of them:
Cruz Bustamante (Democrat): Too meek, as if no one would notice if he kept his mouth shut.
Peter Camejo (Greens): Typical Left-Wing Liberal College Professor who would tax the hell out of the rich.
Arianna Huffington (So-called Independent): What a bitch she was. She kept trying to turn the election into a Bash Bush forum. Arianna also kept railing into Arnold and directly attacked him as a womanizer.
Tom McClintock (Republican): Didn’t mess around. He didn’t attack any of the candidates, and his knowledge of state budget practices could herald a future at the national level. But watch for him to be an integral part of a Republican administration if Arnold wins.
Arnold Schwarzenegger (Republican): He held his own and mixed it up with Arianna (more so) and Cruz (less so). That was the standard he was being held to and I think he met it. He had the best retort for Arianna’s attack on him (see above): “I have a perfect part for you in Terminator 4!”
So we’ll see how this all turns out real soon.
