The Iraqi Government is putting this train back into service, after only one use by Saddam nearly three decades ago:
The train will operate between Baghdad and Basra. No word on whether it’ll be a non-stop trip, or whether there will be stops at smaller towns along the way. Makes me also wonder just how opulent the train actually is.
Oh, and it was built by the French. No surprise there.
