Now the jurors who sat on the Zacarias Moussaoui case begin to speak out...and the foreman tells us that it was just one juror who spared the terrorist. The jury voted 11-1, 10-2, and 10-2 on the three terrorism-related charges brought before them; a unanimous vote on any one of those charges would have meant Death for Moussaoui, and this is the way it’s supposed to work.
Quite understandably, the foreman was not pleased with the decision:
“I felt frustrated because I felt that many of us had been cheated by the anonymity of the ‘no’ voter. We will never know their reason. We will never be able to hold their reason up to the light and the scrutiny of evidence, fact, and law.”
And them’s the breaks. With that said, it won’t be long until we hear news of a TV movie deal from one of the networks, glorifying that lone juror.
