When I saw 300 back in March, I noticed Frank Miller’s liberal interpretation of the Persian hordes, with many of the fighters wearing some sort of Arab-style dress. It goes without saying that Persians are NOT Arabs.
Still, one can only gasp in surprise when the “magical forces” of Xerxes show up dressed in...battle burqas! Click on the thumbnails above to see that I ain’t kidding. In the second photo, you’ll also see some regulars. Draw your own conclusions.
