I have a shocking fact to reveal to you all...I did dabble in liberalism at one point in my life...way back in high school on the debate team (Yes, I got razzed for it with the typical “master debater” moniker). The resolution dealt with the global energy crisis at the time, and I attempted to argue for the creation of a Global Energy Organization which, in conjunction with the UN, would monitor energy production and distribute to countries which needed it the most. Sound familiar? Told you so. Anyway, that was a miserable experience, as this lady from Gull Lake High School named Debbie came along and knocked some sense back into my reality. I wonder whatever happened to Debbie?
But I digress. What a frakkin’ joke that energy crisis turned out to be. For that matter, what a frakkin’ joke the UN has become.
I’m not laughing. Especially this week at the 61st General Assembly meeting, where Bush spoke about spreading democracy throughout the MIddle East, to be followed up by Monsewer Chirac backing off on possible Iranian sanctions, Mr. Dinner Jacket spouting about the dangers of nuclear weapons (when they are in the hands of the Great Satan and the Zionist entity which he wants to wipe from the face of the Earth), and then Comrade Chavez calling President Bush “the Devil.” Oh, I can’t forget Kofi Annan taking a dig at the Pope’s comments about Islam’s perception by 14th-Century Christians.
And the UN delegates EAT IT UP! Such an august body of elitist master debaters is the UN. When the hell are we going to GET OUT!

Mack, those speeches are pure gold to the GOP.  Run them in campaign commercials with Donks who call Bush Hitler and Satan and we’re in like Flynnt!

You betcha. I sure hope the Republicans take full advantage of these guys. Oh, and the Donks? Their mode of thinking is: “He [Bush] may be a son of a bitch but he’s OUR son of a bitch!”
