At times, I issue my standard rhetorical question on other blogs: “What is wife?” Lo and behold, a fellow Lizardoid finally comes up with something definitive:

It’s a serious affliction. Avoid unless absolutely necessary. Also, it is only to be entered into if you have done all the golf/fishing/hunting/etc. you ever want to do for the rest of your life.
