And Not A Moment Too Soon

After milking the United Nations for all it was worth, outgoing Secretary-General Kofi Annan (man I almost wrote Annal but caught myself at the last moment) takes a final swipe at the Bush Administration with a speech at the Harry S. Truman Presidential LIbrary in Independence, MO:

“More than ever today, Americans, like the rest of humanity, need a functioning global system through which the world’s peoples can face global challenges together. And in order to function, the system still cries out for far-sighted American leadership, in the Truman tradition.”

Yep, Mr. Annan. Americans need a world government like they need a hole in the head. Of course there are certain Americans who already have such a feature, and it ain’t people such as myself! Yet somehow, even with the conflict we had with you (thanks to John Bolton!) and the two major scandals which were uncovered by Americans, mind you!...you still had enough people kissing your a** in this country, not to mention all over the world.
Good Riddance Mr. Annan!

COMMENTS

Is there any way he can take Cindy Sheehan with him?

“I am watching CNN and it is 100 percent Rita . . . even though it is a little wind and a little rain. . . it is bad, but there are other things going on in this country today. . . and in the world!!!!”

Ted Kennedy gave a speech concerning the dangers of drinking and driving. This was followed by Al Sharpton discussing the negative effects of racism, Bill Clinton discussing the importance of honesty, Alex Jones discussing the importance of critical thinking, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad discussing why it is important to tolerate all religions and live peacefully together.

The event was capped off by Kofi Annan discussing principles.

I dunno about taking Cindy. Perhaps she’ll be busy touring with Ms. Buckwheat!
