Archbishop: Nativity A “Legend”

What’s worse: the Golden Compass movie which depicts an alternate-universe malevolent form of the Roman Catholic Church (most liberals would think the one we have here is malevolent anyway)...or the Archbishop of Canterbury who states that the Nativity ”works quite well as legend?”
I’m glad I’m not a member of the Church of England, much less the Anglican Communion, because some of them would have every reason to be upset (and that’s putting it politely) at their leader for even suggesting this. No wonder this denomination is suffering a schism.

Macker this is what you get when you have marxists in the Church of England. Durham Cathedral used to have bishop called David Jenkins who described the resurrection as a conjuring trick. Though his supporters have claimed he was misquoted. There is something of a tradition in rebellious priests going back to Thomas a Beckett and beyond. Though they at least had the good grace to believe in God. The Church of England is struggling to even half fill the churches nowadays. Not surprising when the priests are unbelievers.

Oh well hope you have a merry Christmas and prosperous New Year. Don’t drink too much of that Romulan Ale though or you’ll end up like Shran!

Shran is an Andorian. He’s already blue.  cool smirk

And a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!
