Here’s an ironic comment I found about Japan’s execution of their most notorious serial killer from the 1980s, Tsutomu Miyazaki, which took this long to happen:

“I love that Japan, the most tech-obsessed society in the world, uses a totally retro method of execution.”

Indeed.
The guy spent 10 years on trial (which included a battery of mental tests) and another 10 years on 死の列, using every bulls**t excuse he and his attorneys could muster, and the Japanese finally put this sick motherfrakker to Death by Hanging.
Good riddance. Say hello to Saddam while you’re at it.
