I just got off the phone with some young lady who spoke halting English, couldn’t pronounce certain words of what should be the Official Language of the United States, about some local bond proposal here in Phoenix. She asked my opinion of certain elected Arizona officials, including: John McCain (whom I rated favorably, despite his stance on certain issues, and anyone who’s been here for awhile know what those are), Joe Arpaio (of course this chick didn’t know how to pronounce his name, so I corrected her...highly favorable), and Mayor Phil Gordon (highly unfavorable).
Ah, but she didn’t mention Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. I wonder why...do you think it’s because people like me would have rated them so lowly, they would have had new a**holes by the time we were done with them?
When she finished stumbling through her questions, I admonished her to brush up on her English, since she admitted she is not a native speaker. Go figure.
