Dems’ Duplicity on Torture

Filed under: Axis of Donks |

This past summer, the Democrats whined and seethed about waterboarding when President Bush nominated Michael Mukasey to succeed Alberto Gonzales as Attorney General. They howled and screamed when they tried to get the nominee to admit that waterboarding is torture and therefore not allowed under the Geneva Conventions. Mukasey admitted nothing...and he still got confirmed by the Senate.
Turns out that the Donks were briefed on the waterboarding technique five years ago. So why didn’t they whine, seethe, howl and scream back then? It’s an easy answer: political grandstanding. In the past, they’ve stuck their fingers in the air to determine which way the winds are blowing, and they will continue to do so, as long as George Soros and MoveOn.org run the party.

UPDATE (11:50 MST): And that’s not all...the NBC lawyer who advised the network not to air the Freedom’s Watch ad thanking our Troops (which was later reversed, and the ads should begin to run today)...generously contributes to Congressional Democrats. Imagine that.
