President Bush’s nephew (and Jeb’s eldest son), George Prescott Bush, the one who all the ladies oogled over till he got married, has chosen to serve his country as a Naval Reserve Intelligence officer and will begin training later this year after he is sworn in. First thing I want to say is: Congratulations! He’s made a most excellent choice.
What inspired George P. to join the Naval Reserve? Three guesses and the first two don’t count:
“My grandfather’s my hero [That’s Kick-Ass George to the rest of you! - Ed.], and what really sold me on the ultimate decision was having the chance to see the CVN-77 be commissioned under his name. That was pretty moving, and I had a chance to meet some Navy admirals, as well. I had a chance to talk to them briefly about the opportunity, and I was won over.”
Of course, I’m sure Ensign Bush has heard all the bulls**t from the el cubos before, so I’ll spare you too. I hope and pray he goes far in the service.
