I’ve read this article three times and I still can’t understand how the ban the San Francisco Board of Supervisors enacted on plastic grocery bags is actually a ban, given that they allow grocers and pharmacists the option to offer plastic which is made from corn by-products. Read ethanol.
This is yet another effort to regulate what people can and cannot use, which is what Democrats are great at. Perhaps the Donks in SF are encouraging another bag be used…one made of canvas…which could come from, say, hemp. Yeah, that’s right, keep everyone stoned and happy.
