First, A Valiant Attempt

It’s not often that you’ll see me not smiling in photographs. This is one such occasion. I’m merely pointing to the area which was worked on.
After performing a pulp test where a small electric current is run to test the nerve reactions, my dentist determined that the affected nerves are still alive, and it is possible to save the teeth (there are two involved, both molars) from a root canal. So I said “OK, let’s go for it.” He then cleaned out the decayed areas and put in a temporary filling to allow the roots to heal.
The next 3 days will be critical; I just have to monitor the teeth sensitivity to cold and pressure, and if I can get through that, then I can go back on the 20th and have permanent fillings put in. Pray with me that this will be the case.
