Now here’s something truly ironic: the one ship which the US Navy has dispatched to intercept (and, if so ordered, to board) that North Korean ship which Kim Jong Il has set sail to test Президент Оба́ма‘s mettle (as well as the toothless UN’s) is the USS John S. McCain (DDG-56). This destroyer is actually named for Senator John McCain’s father and grandfather, both of whom were Admirals.
I certainly hope the Nork ship doesn’t do anything STUPID enough to warrant the McCain cleaning up after whatever mess they decide to make. But in case they do, there’s a very simple solution, and it doesn’t involve the use of nuclear weapons. It does, however, involve Davy Jones’ Locker.
