Gotta Go Here Someday

Let’s face it, we all have our comfort foods. Mine is Macaroni & Cheese. More on that in a moment.
Four years ago, when I visited New York City (on a daytime excursion from a NJ wedding which took place the day before), I went there with a high recommendation to try Carmine’s on West 44th Street, very close to Times Square. The food there was not only delicious, the portions were humongous! This restaurant was made famous by its invocations of the 1940s-era Italian-American wedding feasts; famous patrons include Frank Sinatra and Bill Clinton. Plus, they’ve gone international too! So anyone who’s going to NYC, Carmine’s earns The Macker’s Recommendation!
Now, back to Mac & Cheese. While patrolling cyberspace for signs of el cubo activity, I stumbled upon this little place which specializes in my favorite comfort food…in ten different recipes no less, which of course includes the traditional and the four-cheese variants, and I would be game to try the Manchego and Cajun dishes. Lord only knows how sizable the “Nosh” portion is.
I don’t know when they opened Sarita’s Macaroni & Cheese up, but I would guess it’s fairly recently. That said, I have placed this restaurant on my to-do list the next time I visit NYC!
