Now when I heard about this story involving Miley Cyrus, the 15-year-old actress who plays Hannah Montana on Disney Channel, which is supposed to be family-oriented TV, I immediately thought of teh Lethal Weapon 2 scene where where Murtaugh’s oldest daughter got a job doing TV commercials; only when it came time to air the ad and everyone was watching, it was for…condoms! Murtaugh’s fellow Cops were laughing their a**es off, while Murtaugh himself wasn’t too happy. C’mon! This was Daddy’s Girl.
Only this time around, I’d say there’s a 13-year-difference between that fictional character and Cyrus’ alter ego. Cyrus herself has supposedly pledged to remain a virgin intil she’s married. And her agents have replied that they never received a formal offer. I hope they turn it DOWN, and that she doesn’t succumb to yet more pressure from the prevailing societal attitude of “Sex Sells.”
And where the hell is her Dad in all this? Inquiring Minds Want To Know!
