I just got back from some errands and lo and behold, a former Republican Congressman from Michigan, Mark Siljander, has been indicted for money laundering, conspiracy and obstructing justice in helping finance an Islamofascist terror-funding “charity” group.
I met this man twenty-six years ago, when I worked at the radio station. He seemed like a nice guy, albeit a little “numb” when it came to his recent wedding at the time. He served only two terms in Congress, then got beat by Fred Upton, and he pretty much faded from the scene.
Until now. This REALLY pisses me off! Mark, you son of a bitch! I hope they throw the book at you!

Macker at least you can still call it what it is in the US. A war on terror. Though I wonder if the Democraps win the Presidential election maybe that will change too?

Over in the UK we now have to treat them as ordinary criminals. It bothers me that if you can’t bring yourself to admit to the problem you have little chance of finding a solution.

The US also seems to take money laundering a lot more seriously than they do in the UK and far more seriously than it is treated in Europe. As an example the EU auditors have not signed off the accounts for over a decade as it is such a mess of corruption. I hope this Congress critter gets a serious jail term as a lesson to all would be money launderers.

Lyndon: There is another board I hang out on which is liberal in its outlook, and they got upset when I use the word “Islamofascist”...that’s because they whine, bitch and moan and refuse to see the truth for what it is.
Then again, it’s their mike, their rules; I can live with that. Just like it’s my mike here and they can’t say s**t about it here.

Macker, funny you should mention that. I recently made a comment on a web site for ex pats living in Canada. I made the point that my reason for wanting out of the UK was that it was heading to hell in a handcart. I also made the observation that I objected to having welfare deadbeats for neighbours. I paid a lot of money for our house, yet the place next door was sold to a landlord who has put welfare people in. This caused outrage from some of the liberals on the website. I guess I am just a snob. However I think it is outrageous that when builders build a bunch of houses they have to by law have some of them for “social housing” so you pay lets say a quarter of a million pounds for you house, and the guy next door could be some junkie low life or a Romanian gypsy. That I am afraid just isn’t right.

Islamofascist is exactly what they are by the way. It’s time we started telling it like it is….
