At this time, my mother is undergoing open-heart surgery back in Michigan. She’s having a mitral valve replaced with a titanium construction, and also getting a single-bypass done.
Needless to say, I won’t be sleeping well. The good thing about this is: the doctor who’s performing the procedure is the same one who did her last one, 29 years ago.
