I caught the second and third OTs from Monday night’s Game 5 heartbreaking loss to the Penguins. I think at that point the Red Wings said “Frak This!”
And so they won Game 6 in Pittsburgh tonight, 3-2; now they can bring home the Cup for the first time since 2002.
It’s nice to have this particular trophy back in Hockeytown. Even though the Tigers, Lions, and Pistons all play there, I’ve always felt Detroit’s main team are the Red Wings. Now, I am a Happy Camper!

‘Grats to the Red Wings.

I’m not much of an NHL fan (not for lack of trying...I just didn’t grow up with it, and I tried to follow it when I lived in Whalers territory), but ‘grats nevertheless.

That means the world is in balance again. It was...interesting...that the Stanley Cup was sitting in Anaheim for a year.
