See BS: Watching You At Breakfast

Attention all consumers from Connecticut to Maryland! If you can’t stomach SeeBS and shop at A&P, Waldbaum’s, Food Emporium, and Super Fresh stores, and if you definitely don’t want to see their Eye on your eggs...then you may wish to consider how SeeBS is going to hold a captive audience, namely, you at the breakfast table...and buy your eggs elsewhere, or complain to your friendly(?) store managment:

Newspapers, magazines and Web sites are so crowded with ads for entertainment programming that CBS was ready to try something different, [George] Schweitzer said. The best thing about the egg concept was its intrusiveness.
“You can’t avoid it,” he said.

I admit, the technology behind the egg etching described in this Saddam NY Times article is pretty cool. That being said, look for many more advertisers to open up to egg etching to get their message across after SeeBS’ fall campaign is complete.
