I wanted to wait to actually go on vacation before I started to blog this month. Well it’s here, so while I figure out whether to go to the Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson, or the Petrified Forest in northeast Arizona...or somewhere else entirely, here are some interesting tidbits I found out there in the week or so since my last post:

SADDAM PARODY: No, this one isn’t mine. Someone took Outkast’s “Hey Ya” and turned it into a Saddam Parody Flash movie. Pretty funny too!

EUROPE ON LANCE: From the Germans...“He’s so...ambitious.” The BBC commentator ranks him BELOW several other Tour winners...as if winning six in a row doesn’t qualify him to be a great? Terry Eastland over at Fox News compares the Europeans’ disdain over Lance Armstrong’s victory to the movie Chariots of Fire. Read the whole thing here.

DONK SPEECHES FREE DOWNLOADS! All the speeches given by the speakers at the 2004 Democratic National Convetion are available for free downloads over at iTunes. Let’s see if they give the Republicans the same deal.

ZELL: SEE Y’ALL IN NEW YORK! Meanwhile, one of the few remaining sane Democrats who puts his country FIRST over his party will be speaking at the Republican National Convention in NYC.

RED ADAIR DIES: Lord only knows if he’s relaxing in Heaven for all the work he did here on Earth (including putting out Saddam’s oil fires back after Desert Storm in 1991)...or actually putting out fires in Hell. Nevertheless, he is a legend!

SHOULD I GO TO LA FOR THIS? Hmmmm...WEIRDDD. I first saw this over at sovietinvasionplan. Ben and Saurus are probably closer to these things than I am. But then again, I AM on vacation and it would make for a fun adventure....

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: Twenty years ago I probably would have gotten into something like this, considering it was the heyday of the Star Trek Revival, before TNG and the rest came along. But not now, no way, no how. And NO, this is NOT going into my blogroll either.
