Wal-Mart To Windy City: Frak Off

Filed under: Axis of Donks |

This is what happens when one party controls politics for decades on end. While I could be talking Taxachussetts, in this case, I’m not. It’s the Народный Социалистический Город-Государство Чикага*. The City Council passed an ordinance mandating large retailers to pay their workers a ”living wage” of $10 an hour...plus $3 an hour in fringe benefits!...by 2010. Mayor Daley warned them not to go ahead with this, but the Aldermen saw fit to pass it anyway.
Wal-Mart has promised to reexamine its strategy in opening a store in the Windy City later this year. In fact, I’d like to see them cancel the store’s opening altogether and stay out of the city entirely until this is repealed. Leave the empty shell for all to see, with the following message: This is what you will get when you insist on Socialist economic policies!

COMMENTS

Note - Daley is a hard core Democrat.  His dad helped resurrect dead people so Kennedy could win the presidency.  And even this guy sees the folly in the living wage argument.

And don’t forget his brother, William Daley, who tried to help Algore steal the 2000 Election.
