I guess the Washington Post really doesn’t have much else to say when they start going after Fred Thompson’s name, linking it to the simple-minded country bumpkins who live in what the Donks term “flyover country” or “Jesusland” (take your pick). Guess there’s not enough nuance in it to appeal to the Elitist establishment.
Frak them. They forgot to look at his middle name, which is definitely not common, guess there’s not enough nuance there either for them. There are only two instances where I’ve heard that: the first would be an actor with that as his last name, the other would be a fictional character in the (now alternate) Battlestar Galactica novel series by Richard Hatch.
