Where’s The Beef, BA?

Filed under: BS Patrol | International |

Anyone with any knowledge of British history knows that beef is part of their national staple; me, I love Shepherd’s Pie. But if you’re flying on British Airways, don’t expect any beef meals in economy class. This is because they’ve taken it off that specific menu to avoid offending traveling Hindus. Once again, British culture is falling to Politically Correct multiculturalism.
Here’s what the Hindu Council UK said about it:

“The Hindu community will welcome this decision and the news it has been made partly because Hindus don’t eat beef.
“Hindus have a great deal of respect for British culture and are well integrated into the British way of life, so it’s good to see evidence of how they are literally flying the British flag by choosing British Airways.
“That said, Hindus are tolerant of the beliefs of others and do not expect everyone to stop eating a food because they do not eat it.”

Much more tolerant than, say, the RoPMA™. Pretty soon, that group will ask British Airways to ban pork for the same reason. Don’t be surprised if that happens.

COMMENTS

If God didn’t want us to eat animals, he wouldn’t have made them out of meat.

Like Hot Dogs at the Ball Park!

I belong to PETA:

People for the Eating of Tasty Animals

Gee Norm...another thing we have in common! And Welcome!

Thanks.

More like Already Has.  The country is in what I refer to as the PC Twilight Zone. Scary stuff Macker, as you know.

Yah, I I’m not too keen on that.

Oh, let me introduce myself. I’m a friend of Macker’s from another forum. We finally met IRL last Christmas season.

Macker has liberal friends. I’m one of them.

A few things: I’m more left-of-center than anything. I’m a registered, card-carrying Democrat and Unitarian Universalist, grew up in good ol’ conservative Orange County, land of Richard Nixon, Trinity Broadcasting Network, John Wayne and the John Birch Society. I’m not in California right now, though.

I used to belong to the ACLU, but can’t afford the dues right now.

I’m voting for Obama. I voted for him in my state’s primary, and will vote for him in the GE. Shrillary just needs to go.

I think GWB is a willfully ignorant sociopath loser, who’s ruined all the businesses he’s run (yes, he ruined the Texas Rangers by helping trade Sammy Sosa to Chicago). I would love nothing but to see he and his buddies tried and convicted in The Hague for war crimes, among other things. They’ve broken our military and broken this country.

You can also see I’m anti-Iraq war. I’m not anti-war, just anti- this war.

The only way the Republicans (IMO) could win this year is if they can re-animate Barry Goldwater, who stands a greater chance at winning than Keating McBush.

But Macker and I both like grilled meat, Macintoshes (even though I own a Dell at the moment) and Battlestar Galactica.

I don’t know Russian, and can’t converse with Macker in either Spanish or German, my other languages.

Warning: I’m not like Harry Reid or Alan Colmes. I bite. smile

I’d like to give Sean Hannity and Michael Medved a good left cross. And Randi Rhodes a tap on the back of the head.

My favorite radio host is Thom Hartmann.

OTOH, people have a right to their firearms and I tend to be more pro-Israel than the other way.

Thanks for the welcome.
