This week finds the mutiny put down for now...while Helo runs the Demetrius, Gaeta got shot and may lose his leg; Kara, Athena, Anders, and Barolay accompany Leoben back to the base ship which, as it turns out, was the very ship circling the ringed gas giant Starbuck painted back aboard the garbage scow! She finally meets the Hybrid and finds out her destiny as prophesied two years ago.
The Cylons (that is, the Twos, Sixes, and Eights) get their own prophecy from the Hybrid too:
...guess who’ll be coming baaaaaack! And that Hybrid can scream when it’s unplugged from the base ship. Thus will it come to pass. The dying leader will know the truth of the Opera House. The missing Three will give you the Five who come from the home of the Thirteenth. You are the harbinger of death, Kara Thrace, you will lead them all to their end. End of Line.
Meanwhile, the President has lost her hair. Totally. She meets and speaks for a short time with Emily, another cancer patient who listens to Baltar’s broadcasts and openly discusses the existence of the One True God, the one who belongs to the Cylons but, as Emily states, belongs to both Human and Cylon. She tells the President of the river which separates this life from the next, and it shakes Laura to her core.
UPDATE (05/10/08; 1455 MST): Bear’s Take of course. I swear, with all the fantastic stuff he’s done so far, we’re gonna need two CDs and not just one!
