IRAQ TO JAPAN: PLEASE STAY: This, after Japan forgave the Iraqi Government $6.8 billion of debt incurred by Saddam. The Japanese forces stationed in Iraq are scheduled to leave on December 14.

DEVIL WITH A (BLUE?) DRESS ON: A Nigerian state governor attempts, and fails, to escape the long arm of the law by dressing as a woman. Photoshoppers at Nigeria’s newspapers subsequently go nuts!
