Fay Wray died Sunday in her Manhattan apartment in New York City, she was 96. Wray used to resent the publicity and fame King Kong brought her: ”...But now I don’t fight it anymore. I realize that it is a classic, and I am pleased to be associated with it.”
Indeed. The Empire State Building is performing a fitting tribute in her memory tonight. Farewell, Ms. Wray.
