Who all remembers King Kong, the original 1933 version? Well, the lady that big ol’ gorilla had the hots for has left us.
Fay Wray died Sunday in her Manhattan apartment in New York City, she was 96. Wray used to resent the publicity and fame King Kong brought her: “...But now I don’t fight it anymore. I realize that it is a classic, and I am pleased to be associated with it.”
Indeed. The Empire State Building is performing a fitting tribute in her memory tonight. Farewell, Ms. Wray.
