San Francisco’s congressional delegation secures the taxpayer funds to tow the World War II Battleship from Rhode Island to the City by the Bay. But then the city’s Board of Supervisors votes 8-3 to deny accepting the ship, citing the military’s ”Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy...a policy, may I remind you, was enacted by Bill Clinton...as the reason for the denial.
And the lady who brought home the bacon to the city she once led as Mayor is livid:
“This isn’t the San Francisco that I’ve known and loved and grew up in and was born in...I was very surprised...I thought that in view of what’s going on and in view of the loss of lives of our men and women, it was a very petty decision.”
Thank you, Senator Feinstein! Notice that she calls those brave Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, and Marines MEN AND WOMEN and NOT “Children.” It’s too bad you didn’t say something like this to your Homies:
“I secure 3 MILLION DOLLARS of taxpayer funds to bring home a ship which could have brought some JOBS and more tourism revenue to the City of San Francisco, and you have the nerve to vote it down because of how the military treats gays and lesbians?
“You a**holes seem to forget that it’s the same military who protects your sorry a**es so you that you can do what you want, with whoever you want, and however you want to do it without fear from getting wiped out from the ones who would just as soon behead you because of how you want to do it!”
Wishful thinking....
