Today was somewhat of a blah day. Fortunately, not totally so. I’m slowly taking all my previously developed analog film rolls and getting the negatives scanned onto CD, with some very good results. Go to the Gallery and see the Detroit entries. Meanwhile:
FEEDING THE RINOs: No it isn’t what you’d think it is. tgs333 asked me to blog about going back to the Moon with the target date of 2018, so I will.
I have written about my enthusiasm for this proposal on more than one occasion. Let me also say that if we can do this at the same time we’re fighting the terrorists...then there’s another humiliation we send their way, not to mention that the Moon will NEVER be Islamofascist!
With that said, they had better be careful as to which off-the-shelf technology they utilize to build the Crew Exploration Vehicle, the new lunar lander, and the various heavy-lift boosters necessary to accomplish the mission.
UPDATE: Popular Mechanics has more than enough photos so you can get an idea of what the new vehicles might look like. WOW!
STANDARD STILL EXISTS: Has anyone here visited GasSigns.org? OK now’s your chance, I just gave you the link.
Recently I discovered that Chevron, as the owner of the Standard Oil brand, must operate at least one station in each of the 16 states which comprises this brand’s territory. Sure enough there’s one in Phoenix, so I went there and snapped a few pictures!
For the time being, I e-mailed John Cirillo of GasSigns.org and told him I have the photos, and all I would need from him is the go-ahead to forward them to him; as you’ll see on the site, he gets TONS of gas station signs!
