After all these years, I’ve finally seen the strange amalgamation of “The Wizard of Oz” with Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of The Moon,” also known by the title of this post, or “The Dark Side of the Rainbow.”
And now, you too can judge for yourself.
Watching the synchronization of Dorothy’s ride in the house during the tornado to “The Great Gig in the Sky” is just, well, unreal! The Munchkins dancing around to “Money” is almost akin to a music video. And I swear the Scarecrow’s nose is the same one Ray Bolger wore forty years later as an android on Battlestar Galactica…of course, he’s synched with “Brain Damage.” The final beating-heart chords of “Eclipse” match up with the Tin Woodsman, who has none.
Amazing. Yep, it lives up to the legend.
